Alpha 1 vs. Alpha 2

So I've heard a lot about these two skis, and I was wondering what the differences were. I am looking at the 176, and they both have the same measurements, Elf-Shoe Tech, and A2's have a slightly smaller turn radius. So help me NS, what are the differences, pros and cons?
 
Alpha 1s have the pipe cleaner base and core while the Alpha 2s have the AR6/Thall base and core. So the Alpha 1 will be lighter and faster, but the Alpha 2 will be more durable and have a smaller turning radius.
 
Thanks, I tried to view the videos on the Armada website, but they weren't working. Oh well. Well, thanks for the input, I'll add the Alpha 2 to my list of skis to ponder over.
 
I have it, it's what I normally use. My internet has been slow lately, and the website just wouldn't load completely. I reset my router and now it's better.
 
The alpha 1 base is just as strong or stronger if you wax them on a daily basis. If you dont wax then its another story. The alpha ones are lighter and im pretty sure they are softer.
 
Why is there a smaller turning radius on the Alpha 2 when it had the same exact shape as the Alpha 1?
 
So how much rocker does the Alpha 2 have? I looked and I can't seem to find it... I usually pretty bad about finding the rocker on the websites.
 
the bases are the only difference, the alpha 1 has race base, while the alpha 2 has a regular base that will hold up better on rails. i believe the dimensions and rocker are the same, not sure though.
 
The race base isnt that bad on rails ether. Ive skiid the pipe cleaner for two years now and they are just fine. Sure the ar6 base is bether, idntnow. But it is a + on jums were its hard to get speed.
 
It doesn't have rocker, it has camber underfoot and early rise tip and tail, it doesnt have crazy early rise tip and tail profile but its enough to do the job.
 
No, Armada calls it Elf shoe tech, not rocker. By my definition rocker is when the ski makes like a u shape with no variations(ex like camber).
 
They're quite a bit faster. My buddy had Pipecleaners last year, and I had AR6's, and he would boost jumps I couldn't get the speed to get over.

Sorta pissed me off, but the AR6 base is ROCK solid.
