Alpha 1 or Halos?

hey so i know that they are the same ski, except the Alpha 1 has the race base. Im just wondering if the Alpha one is worth the extra 50 bucks or would the halos just be fine? thanks again!

alpha 1's are also stiffer if it was me id go alpha 1

I'd just go with the alphas for the base, as long as you maintain it or course.

Just wax it every few days out and wipe it down with a cloth when you get inside?

I have Halos and love them. That being said, the Alpha 1 is the exact same ski with a stiffer flex pattern and like you said, the race base.

I'd say base your decision off of your skiing: do you like to hit rails, do butters, presses, medium size jumps with the occasional groomer run? Halos. Or do you like to ski the whole mountain, prefer bigger jumps, and want the extra speed (and maintenance) the race base provides? Alphas.

Regardless of what you choose, both skis are very similar, and you really can't go wrong. I'd recommend the Halos just because they are the best skis I've ever owned.

I love the race base they have, they stay super fast even if you don't wax for a few days.

i kinda wish i went the halos cuz there a little softer

but i love my alpha 1s
