Alpental open AGAIN?

the lines for the quad on saturday mid-afternoon were like 10 minutes or so, and the lines for chair 2 were the longest i had seen all year, still not too bad though, 3-5 minutes at most.

Maybe that gap we were eying above Snake Dance? I'd wanna scope it, cause speed might be an issue, but the landing looked pristine... Anyone know of a better knoll or something we could maybe gap to?

From Jeff Renner himself:

"The cold air that could trigger thundershowers tomorrow will also lower

the snow level in the mountains. I'd expect it to drop to between 3,500

and 4,000'. That means wet snow is possible in Stevens pass, White pass

and the North Cascades highway-possibly an inch or two. Snoqualmie pass

isn't likely to see any snow-at least any snow that would stick on the

road surface.

Thursday isn't likely to change much, meaning we could see more showers

and even a thundershower. Friday, the trough should be replaced by a

ridge of high pressure, resulting in decreasing showers and some

sunbreaks. That high now appears likely to stick around through the

weekend, and that means partial clearing."

Two inches new, tomorrow, then overcast until the weekend, where there will be a little sun. Sounds great for this time of year, hope it stays semi-soft!

Liar.

Today was fun, but the rain kinda dampered everything. Billy and I made a small kicker / step up near the bottom of one of the runs, might go back to it next weekend if the forecast looks good. Nick, that booter back there looked serious, as did the huge ass craters in the landing.

^ haha dude, i didnt feel it at all today. i underrotated a 5 on that jump u saw and slammed my head sideways, and it was mad hard getting enough speed. how r u getting up next weekend, skins?

that little step up would have been fun, but no speed. I did end up skiing till 4 though, met some long time friends just as I was leaving and ended up skiing till the end.

yea the snow was snow was so slow....ohh well we finnally found something to get speed for...hahaha

i might be down for next weekend. looks like i'll be on some old skis that aren't mine if it happens though, and my dad's boots.

What's the post season scene like up at Snoqualmie?? Can you just hike and ski whatever or do they not allow access to some areas? I did not get my fill of skiing for the season and this warm weather is bumming me out.
