Allmountain, AR6 or PE?

"Hi, I'm thinking about buying some AR6's or PE's for allmountain use, with sometimes a bit of park. Let's say 80% groomers and 20% park. I'm 5"11" and I'm 121 lbs. What length should I buy and what bindings do you guys recommend?"

My cousin wants to buy some twins, but he's not sure what he should buy. Those are his first twins. What would you guys recommend?

Thanks for the info!

I have sort of a biased view. I used to ride PE's and i liked them alot, but ive heard great things about teh ar6. Either way, you will get a great ski that can manage park and all mountain.

ar6's are lighter and poppier. pe's hold a good edge on ice. its gonna come down to how much you wanna spend and if you want tanks or not.

My dad's 175 PE's with PX 12s are WAY heavier than even my 188 JJ's with FKS 155. They are tanks for sure, I would not want them in the park and the AR6 is just as good on the groomers.

not P.E.s

where do you live? if i were you id look at getting the chronic or the blend chronic for east, blend for the west.

the p.e. probably holds an edge better and i've skied both, but overall i'd go with the ar6. you're light enough that you wouldn't even be able to flex the p.e. that well and overall, the ar6 is more fun to ski. i do ski a lot more park than you though, so it all depends. ar6 is much lighter too, which i like a lot, but the p.e. busts crud like no other.

def pes they are a great starter ski they yes might be heavy but they will put up with anything. I used to have pes and they were my first twin and they were great and i never really rode park either and they were awsome super poppy and fast. So i would go with pes armadas might be good but i would def think pes would be better...

181cm AR6 sounds too much for a 121 lb guy even at 5'11. Usually weight/ strengtht /athleticism count more than height. My pal is 130lbs and skis great and is on 166cm AR6. So if u want to go bigger for big air landing balance and bigger carving turns move up to the 171. There is a 176.. Yeah 5'11 = 180cm but Ar6 is a pretty solid wood core ski. I own it. AR6 is not for backcountry or fresh snow more than a foot deep....it's great on hardpack and park & pipe & groomers.

Also for your cousin consider http://www.armadaskis.com/product/skis/el_rey.php the El Rey. it is a great all-round with more float for noodling around anywhere.

So think about where ur gonna ski /conditions and r u strong enough to flex it . good luck.... i don't know the other skis

171 ar6 and center mount them. im like 5 6 and on a ar6 176 but im also heavier than u but id say 171 or 176 thats reallur preference

i had PEs for 2 years and now this year will be my second on ar6s. go with the ar6. it skis better on groomers and sense it is a tad bit softer the PEs it floats better in new snow. and it has alot more pop in the park. they are for sure lighter to, so they are better for rails, and i have never had any chatter at speeds, just like in the product video where Jacob says they hold up at 60mph. I for ran a super G course on them and they were great. pm me with questions
