All you iOS4 users...

i have a couple questions about jailbreaking

1) can you still download apps from the app store?

2) can you update the software with a jailbroken phone?
 
1) yes

2) no because jailbreak is for that software in particular, BUT, you can restore your phone and update it and then jailbreak it again.

and my phone got pooped. its stuck on the apple screen haha. this happpened to me before and i fixed it but i forgot how. help please?
 
Someone care to fill me in on why I should jailbreak my iphone if Im already on ATT?
 
apps that apple doesnt alow in the app store such as free tethering for example. why not jailbreak it? if you dont like it, just restore/update ur phone
 
ios4 users, do NOT use aptBackup to restore all your jailbreak apps! I just did it, and one of the apps definitely doesnt work with ios4 and is crashing my springboard, so now i have to uninstall em all until I find the culprit anyways.
 
they fixed the server so you can download the break again, i'm doing it right now. just back up your phone in itunes first
 
so now what? i've never jailbroken before. how do i add like ringtones for text messages and all that now?
 
give it a few days, to avoid having the JB leaked the dev team didn't send it to any other developers so today is the first time theyve had it, in the next few days many of the apps will staart being 4.0 compatible and that is when you'll start doing all the tweaking

i wish my internet connection didnt sucks/ cydia didnt always fail for me

idk which one is the issue tho, cydia or connection
 
so how do i change my text message tones now? and is there any way to actually see the themes that i can set? instead of just guessing with the cydia app
 
go to cydia and search winterboard. once you download that it comes with a few layouts and then you can also download more layout from cydia for it
 
wait, so if i jailbreak, and i pee on my phone, can i return it and get a new one fo free?

cuz when i didnt jailbreak, that worked. just gotta know my options.

what i needed to know is to i immediately void warranty by jailbreaking? or can i restore if i need to take a broken phone to apple.
 
i was just dissapointed wen i updated my ipod to 4.0 and couldnt put a background up because i have 3rd gen, so if ur wondering why u cant put up a background, its might be cuz u have 3rd gen.

 
You need to find gba_bios.bin on the internet and put it in the folder where all your GBA ROMs are. They can't distribute it with the app because it's copyrighted Nintendo code. As a side note, the emulators run great on iPhone 4, even the N64. Mario Kart 64 runs great with the frameskip at 2 (it barely ran on older devices).
 
do you know where i could find a tutorial for this? the one i did is where you add the source "apt.123locker.com" and add gba BIOS from that and then the pokemon pack and then gpsPHONE. that didnt work out too well though
