Ski Instructer: I was just demonstrating how wrong it is.

Im 14 and i my biggest trick is a really ugly backflip. Why doesnt this kid buy some cheap skis?

connecticut sucks

at the end of last year, he broke his skis, and only had money to buy some crappy salomon verse....

now he broke those.....and right now is riding rentals or my old xscreams, hopefully hell get some red and black 720s this week, even though they arent the best skis

im 14...Im pretty good I guess...Im not doing dspin 7s tho, the hardest thing I've tried is a misty 5 but didnt land it

I'm gonna kick your ass...From here to right over there!

-my name is sirjibsalot i like to jib rails alot, curved ones, kinked ones, long ones, short ones, rainbow ones, and hand rail ones, because my name is sirjibsalot-

yea, its crazy these little kids...actualy...im 14, my little brother is so sick, its crazy, he will basically try anything we tell him to

i dont really think age has much to do wiht it once you get past 14 though. its awsome to see kids trowing down, i love seeing little kids like 10 who are trying 3's and stuff,

honestly, i don't think age matters either........look at the x games shit......in skate boarding and in in line skating, there are little kids who can rip......and i think our sport will eventually turn into that.....its not what huck you can throw, its pretty much the consistency and the style put into it.......i hear what you're saying, that's nuts........i saw some 9 year old boarders practicing their first rodeo 5's it was crazy..........but i think the reason there are so many little rippers is because of freeride teams, they teach the kids who to excell at it.......i think it kinda takes the fun outa it, i would much rather go out and trey shit i wann learn rather than some guy tell me what to throw....but whatever floats their boat......::im just jealous::

so this is my part of the signature that i admitt im dsrunk. im sorry, but i am yet agsin intoxicated.....hey ehy, ythat was a big word!

Don't ever go to Breck; they have kids who are about 11 throwing d-spins with tails off of 50-foot tables. I can do 540's with tails and some sketchy backs, and I'm 16. I feel over the hill, and am realizing there is no chance for me to be pro if these little kids keep it up.

i think its awsome unless they are cocky little bitches. i remember seeing a kid in the high cascade snowbaord camps's skate park who was amazing, he was 9 and doing blunt stalls in the pipe and going bigger than anyone else out of it, 5's and shit, someone said he was doing rodeo 7's wiht grabs over some big tabels. that kid will defenitly be pro if he keeps it up i think his name was jeb or something

My friends brother is mad, hes like 9-10 and hes pulllin like 7's off cliffs and kickers, and grabin like natural, hes so young, and frexable

Im wearing a touque! NOT A KNIT HAT!

heh yeah breck's pretty dope...there's that little dude on tele's all the time throwing 3 grabs

'why do they make fake snow' - tourist

ok all you 14 year old you suck i'm 17 and just started and i only wich i could through d-spin 7's and misty 5's god i hate all of you that don't have to work almost every weekend

Good for them but personally I think you also need to be able to ski to be a pro. To be a pro you have to be able to ski and do tricks. Morrison can do double backs and Auclair and Shad etc. can ski big mountain. If a kid only skis in the park he will be one dimensonal. Also on the ge matter, there is a pro in Whistler who started skiing at 20 and became a pro in 2 years( see freeskier issue with moseley on the front). Skogen Spang is another example, he is one of the best and he started skiing in his 20s. I'm not saying these kids wouldn't be pros but many probably will not. Like others have said, style is also very important.

I have a 14 years old friend who is throwing d-spin 900's and fakie rodeos (5 and 7) and shit like that... well i'm 17 and learning 360 and pissed big time...

Terkkui Jopelle ja rolloboyzille ;)

age in my opinion doesn't matter... it just depends on when you lose the fear of being hurt b/c i know i lost that fear last year when i was 15 and now i am not scared to try any trick, Its just loseing the fear of going big and getting hurt b/c imo pain is temporary and glory last forever, i know that from a movie but dun remember what lol

im 14!!!! my best tricks are 360 grabs like 360 japan, mute, lui kang, and safety... i hate littler kids kuz they huck themselves easily and are too young to be scared(and sacked too).

'One day I'm going to learn something i swear'

Yah, theres this little kid. i'd say hes like 8-10. No older tho. he's really young. And he can do 360s like crazy. it's nuts!

Yeah, but like Phil said, they are probably all one dimensional. In Tanner's interview in freeskier, he says its too easy to be a pro thesedays, and all you have to do is be a park rat.

thats true, there are so many kids i see that can only do park and can barely ski, its just not cool, me and bassically all my friends do moguls, that we started doing, then we started doing both, and we all just rip the whole mountian, like most of the pros like jp, vinnie, jf, mike d, etc grew up skiing moguls, and just eveolved from there...thats what i did, or tried, my brother went from having trouble landing 360Xs to having trouble grabbing reverse tail on a d-spin 9...its crazy how fast people can progress

-Mr. Jeff Kiesel

cause skiing beats school

IM 16 i can trow corked 7's,dspins,backs,flairs 7's with grabs and can ski big mountian shit to but i know i will never be good enough to go pro it just wont happen. You have to be a super sick skier to go pro.

Didn't I tell you to go back to FREEZE? Eh it doesn't matter, Harvey will kick you off anyways

Is the poopdeck really what I think it is?

I used to get pissed off at really good little kids. Now i just wanna beat up people like Chris Turpin who didn't start skiing till two years ago.

I'm 13 and I'm throwing pretty much all of the tricks your mentioning. I have sponsors and everything but I think that skiing is a great sport and you shouldn't be doing it for sponsors and free stuff. It should totally be for fun. I worked hard to get to the level I'm at, and it has paid off. There will always be that grom at your local resort that throws down crazy tricks for their age, good for them! There was a 9 year old girl on my ski team that was throwing fronts and landing them every time, if you think about it, skiing has alot to do with comitment, theres nothing to hard about the whole park scene. Thats my 2 cents for know...

I'm 16 and not nearly on 1440's. damn. My excuse is I live in the South and a city. Pretty lame one.

'Dude, that trick was off the chain!' - Deuce

i'm 16, I want to ski for a living. I know i need a sponsor, just so I can ski, but that's pretty much the only reason I would get a sponsor. I just started jibbing this year. I've been up 5 days this year, and I can do 180's, 360's and switch 180's. How long will it take to get a sponsor. after high school I want to go to University of British Columbia, or maybe take a few years off, so I'll be able to ski a lot. If I skied almost everyday, about how long would it take to become pro. Thanks
