I hear a lot about 'sellouts' on this board and would like to clear something up. A sellout is not someone like jonny mosely who gets paid shit loads of money by someone like chevy. A sellout is someone who changes his style or discipline, that probably doesn't make sense so I'll spell it out for you.

Example; Rossignol pays Tanner Hall 2 million to race for them instead of freestyle ski, tanner excepts, he is now a sellout.

Example 2; Sony pays 311 a gizzillion dollars to start singing pop music. 311 wouldn't be selling out because their music became popular.

Done.

sorry cko, what I meant to say is that 311 is not sellouts because a lot of people like thier music now, a lot of 311 fans accused them of being sellout thier last few albums. I was trying to sat that if they were to so pop music like n'stink they'd be sellouts, it was just an example.

man finaly some one is smart enough to understand, joining a record lable doesnt mean a band sells out, it mweans they have made it in the industry and can now survive bc they get piad!whoever posted this shit knows wut the fuck hes talking about so listen to him, ppl think that for getting paid to do wut ur doing is selling out, thats becasue they are FUCKING MORONS, the point is, selling out only occurs when u do sumthing for money and u have to change ur whole style or morals and all that shit,
