All stars ski camp is super sick. They have good food, good snow, good hits, and good rails. For rails they have 2 gap to straight rails, 2 straight rails, a double kink, a rainbow, and gap to upkink. The other camp has a c rail an flat rail and a tetor-totor you can hit to. For hits they have 1 table with 3 different lips ranging from a 15 ft. gap to 60 ft. They also have 1 quarter pipe, 4 road gaps, and HUGE 10-40 foot cornice drops on the top of the headwall. The other camp has 3 different sized tables and a qp you can hit. The camp has 2 bump lines, one on a face so steep the cat cant get up it, the other on a mellower face. The coaching is great, the coaches are Tony Gilpin, Tanner Hall, Mickey Price, Heath Ordway, Micheal Dechenaue, and others. Next year the terrain will double as a third poma lift will go down to the lake. One of the funnest part of all stars was driving the bus around Red Lodge with the top strobe on and yelling at drunk people until one of our windows got shot out. so anyways, im just trying to start a conversation. I am counting down the days until next years camp. Then i will get to see nikki and marianne and their beutiful selves skimper across the glacier. ahhhhh

 
im counting the days until next october for the first snow, then december for the opening of showdown, then june for the all stars (all steez) ski camp so i can work on the steeze and the steezy hair and run around red lodge like an idiot and film it

 
allstars doesnt compare to empire freeride at all. empire has three tables ranging from 10-50/60 feet, a real QP(15-20 feet high), lots of fun rails( banked c rail, teter totter rail, double kink, tons of flat rails), a snow jib, a huge gap jump of rocky tundra that TGR is gonna film tomorrow. allstar had one sketchy jump, a few rails and some fun bump lines. empire is also putting on a competition june 21. check it out. oh, and the cornice drops are for the public, anyone who skis there can huck off them...

I have been up there for both camps, because I work up there and the empire jumps are better, but I would have to say that all stars brought in bigger names. I am more of a Empire fan, though.

 
Empire costs more and they have 3 rails, the bank, the flat one, and the teetor totter, the rest are all stars rails. next year all stars gets there own private lift and park with tons of hits

 
yo, you are definately right that empire had the way sicker setup. We got jewed on the area that we got to use for our park, and it really sucked when the snow was melting. There were hella rocks starting to appear. Anyways i thought both camps were dope and it's not all about who had the best park and who had what rails or whatever.

We were all participating in the baddest sport of all called skiing. We're lucky enough just to be able to ski on such a sick glacier in the middle of june. A hill that has some super steep ass shit into some nice soft slush and then you come to the booters and rails and then you go up and do it again.

Anyways, we really don't need to start a 'who's camp is better?' arguement. The two camps have slightly different focuses. Empire appeared to me to be all about park riding, while all steez was focused on the wide range of different types of skiing. I.E. after riding the area we would sometimes hike to the rock creek chute and ski some backcountry, or a triple road gap was built and the lower two were hit and then two peeps jumped over the black fatty bus.

To sum this up, from now on you will be seeing me at All Steez every summer shreddin it with the coolest group of skiers i have ever met. And I imagine next year that things will be different as far as snow moving equipment goes.

Aw come on Nikki, you know that all of your boys were with the Starz...

 
Glen Plake was also a coach of all stars (sorry glen) he gave away alot of cool stuff, he gave a hat to everbody and a pair of public enemys to one lucky winner of the raffle (kielie)

 
I would be so stoked to get a brand new pair of public enemies. She is such a lucky girl and also hot i might add. If you want to rave about how sweet empire was, start your own thread. Dont talk shit in the all stars thread.

blah, blah, blah, you can rave about empire all you want. all i know is that i will be at all stars from now on, and wouldn't think twice about it. Phrosty- I hope you were 'rockin it hard', whatever that means.

 
if it wasnt for all stars there wouldnt even be an empire. all stars started ten years ago when the ski area wouldnt even let them use a cat. everything up there was public including both parks, the bumplanes, and the cornice. in the ski gabber forum there is a similiar arguement going on except they came to a peace that both camps are sick. they also decided they wanted to see 2 seperate camps but one shared park, that way we could both have a sicker park than any park ever up there.

 
all stars' jump wasn't public, we tried to hit it and they told us to stay the hell off.

Next year the will be one super sick park for both camp for sure. Both camps will get to say what they what in it and the cat guys will try to acomedate everyones ideas. It is true that the allstars park was only for them,whereas empire's park is also the public park and anyone can go in it.

 
this is officially the most action a thread in the montana forum has had. Yea, Nikki, you pretty much own that mountain so there needs to be some changes next year, one big park. That would be the shit. I didnt know that someone kicked you out of our jump, thats pretty lame. oh well.

Is there still enough snow up there to ski or are there rocks everywhere?

Another change id like to see next year is that we need more girls up there. So Nikki needs to get all of her friends and herself and wear skimpy clothing and cheer us on while we jib it up! Just a thought....peace

 
the cat guys? dude concept kid shut the fuck up, you have no idea what you are talking about, the cat guys are the dude's who built your jump in the beggening, when it sucked. Empire camp director is who built empires park and fixed your jump so it was hittable, then ball stars say we can't hit it? lame. All Stars may have been there first, but the Empire will reign supreme.

wow, this is perfect. people getting stoked up about the beartooths. All this trash talk is crazy, but its all good. It was sahwwheeet to see people up on the pass again. Nikki, I'm so glad your Dad and partners turned that place around. Hat's off to All Stars and anyone fortunate enough to ride the Beartooths this year, it was a gas. I love skiing and I hope it showed. Big thanks to Montana Snowcat Club, they really made it happen by trusting me to run their cat. Next year will be off the hook, I think it will be one big mo fo park. Increase the peace

ya, way to go empire on the sick park setup, next year there should be an all stars/ empire super park/ super sound system and we should have a contest between the skiers in each camp

it's goin quick, gardiner headwall still has quite a bit but it's only on the first main chute, rock creek has none, the camp has quite a bit where the lift is and there are a few chutes over from that one that are still skiable.

 
Anybody know when RSN was going to air the show that we were in with Glenn Plake? It would probably be funny as hell. I remember the cameraman saying that it would be on tv by mid july, hmmm.

alright kip, Ive had it up to HERE with your long signature!! I found a good way to practice your skiing hucks in the summer. Just huck off of every cliff you see into water and practice your tricks. bridges, diving boards, whatever else will work too. plus its fun
