I love the fact that skis beak so fast i dont know why people complain, skogens delamed, but i got the mike nick 171's early because of it, so it was all good, untill the edge broke, so i got another pair under warenty, sold em and got BC's for 50 more, then i get stress cracks in the topsheets, so i got the 04 bc's underwarenty, and thats whats being mounted as we speak, so say waht u will all skis break no matter what comapny, and i love it. It gets me free skis

The only problem is when you snap a pair mid season, and miss a month waiting for new ones to ship, I guess it's good to have some back ups

depends on where u got em, i got the lines stright from them so warenty was easy, no recipt needed, the rossignols were from sportsliquidator.com their really good about warenty stuff, i just called em, they had my skis picked up, shipped ground to them, then i got the 04 bc's n the mail not a week later

yah all skis break.. but you just got lucky dude. Try dealing with salomon for warranty. Line is definitly the best for warranty.. but Ive heard god things about 4 frnt

volkl warranties here are super dumb, i sell a 100 pair of volkls a year and they've been good giving me early release products and everything, but every single pair i break (2 explosive + 1 gotama) takes a hassle to war-eee-nty. They re like, dude you are not a sponsored athlete. i'm like i know. i pay for the fuckers, its even worse i'm a customer treat me well. So i have to argue with them that yes the ski breaking in half is a defect of fabrication, that the sidewalls blew with no iimpact or whatever. anyway ithought that i didn't have to argue with them to get a pair of skis warrantied, but it seems i have to.

who are you dealing with for salomon? if you let your shop do it, it will take forever. call directly to their customer service and warranty people, or better yet talk to a rep, i have dealt with them before, got my skis in less than a week

head has been cool to me, and line was before that. i havent bought a pair of twin tips since 99, and ive had the skis i broke sent back and had the new ones in my hands shortly after. skiershop.com did all of my head stuff. they rock out with their cock out

Yea, i would go to a shop. specially ones that know there shit. I perosnaly have seen someone come into our shop with a busted ass line, and it was clearly a manufatures defect, so we gave the kid a set off the wall and he was back on snow in less then an hour, hows that for warrenty?

I have had nothing but pleasure from rossi also, I had a set of 02 scratchs (shiny topsheets) and broke them, and they were nice enough to give me 03's. Then i broke thoses mid last season, and in no later then a week i was sitting on a set of 04's. So yes, rossi warrenty department rocks, prolly helps im a shop rat too.

And if all else fails, just find a rep, I know all the local reps here in the NE territory, and there all pretty cool shit for the most part, and will help ya out if help is needed.

That or just go with 4frnt, and never have any problems. period.

4frt is rad because even if they dont replace the skis for free, meaning you broke them doing something stupid like ripping an edge off on a rail. They will sell you another pair at 40% off, and they also cover their skis for 2 years. Now we just have to see if they are around that long.

Ok, the one thing you all dont relize is that the armadas are stiffer then shit, which is not nessesarrly a great thing. I can go down to the shop right now and cut you a ski out of 1/4'' steel and mount up some bindings on it, and i can gaurentee that you cant break them. Whoopde fuckin doo. I would rather ride a ski that i can atleast flex then a 1/4'' piece of steel thats unbreakable. And from what i have heard, and seen for that matter, there are a bunch of armadas out there that have some serious defects, ie, they dont know what the fuck they are doing. I say stick with k2, they atleast have some quality control in there china plant. Plus you will be saving 200 bucks.

did you watch the armada product video?? It sounds like they are designed very well. do you think that just because they are a small company they dont know what they are doing? K2 has made alot more shitty skis than good skis, isnt that true? Armada just bypassed all of these stupid mistakes and came up with a innovative design all by themselves.

 
200? more like $300. From what i have heard is that line has the best warrenty. Right now i ride the Public enemy but i will hopefully be buying myself a pair of lines next year to try out there new binding.

why would i be the last person you would ask for an opinion, i have 5 seasons of shop floor experiance, i know a good ski when i see one. Fact of the matter is that you cant handle the truth, and that the arv is way to much ski for you.

Armada just bypassed all of these stupid mistakes and came up with a innovative design all by themselves. HALF THE DESIGN IF NOT ALL WAS A RIP OFF OF ROSSI!

armada's aren't as stiff as some ppl think they are. and they aren't that durable either. I've hrad of two snapped pairs, one down the length of ths ski and the other under the foot.

I stick with volkl, had no problems with them. if u break them send them to the rep, not the factory, cause the rep will throw u a pair of skiis where the factory takes more time to get it to u. it gets there just not by express overnight mail. volkl also tests all returned or defect skiis thoroughly to improve their product, the results show up every year with next years ski.

im wondering how the topsheet will hold up with the 04 bc's, its not rubberized, but its no shinny eighter, the best way i can describe it is matted

Armadas are defenatly stiffer...i have flexed a pair...look in to the AR5 they are diffrent than the scratch. Example for pop the scratch FS tail has carbon in it...the Armada has a carbon strip down the whole ski for uniform flex. Its diffrent not a rip off.

Conceptkid, when you have a few years under your belt and maybe in high school, better yet, in college, you are allowed to speak. Get your own oppinion. You think that the armada video is going to say that the ski sucks? You think George W is going to admit he's a monkey and a total idiot? No. Get a clue. Have you ever held a pair of armadas? Probably not.

I got my hands on them last weekend and I was not too impressed. The design is obviously based on the scratch because the team riders designed that too. I like the stiffness and thought that the overall ski is a good design. Im worried about production this year. The tail and edges concerned me. The edge of the tail was separated by about 2 mm from the actual base. The base didnt have that great of a finish either. I give them a B for their 2nd year of production with a lot of potential.
