Hey, I am looking for some experienced skateboard filmers to critique my filming and give me some advice. It is mostly on my single fisheye shots they just never turn out they way I think they will.I am using an hv30 with an opteka 43mm. Help me out on how to make them look better.

Thanks also here is some another video I did which is most of my filming except at 1:18 to 1:27 and the the one 3 flip at 2:01

Try something different, don't conform to gay ass fisheye shots of skateboarding. My 2 cents.

I'm going to be very blunt, but there was nothing cool or creative done!

Don't look to other skate vids for inspiration, because 80% of the time, the filming is trash. Find your own style, try something new. You'd be surprised what you can do when you really look hard to see your shots and use a bit of creativity when you film. Even if try some new ideas out, and you don't like them, go out and do it again. Guaranteed you will be way better by taking this approach, it will just take some time. There's no magic trick to get well composed shots, you gotta feel them! The more you shoot, the better you get. Watch a lot of ski, board, and bike films for inspiration.

I'm very anti "skate style" film making, it's generally crap. Don't want to be harsh, but I'm just calling it like it is, hope this helps. Keep at it!

Thanks I like to have honest opinion's. I am the same as you I don't really like the traditional filming for skateboarding things like nike deblacle that were filmed differently I really enjoyed. It's harder though at a skatepark to get that "creative" shot with everyone moving around and getting in the way. I need to go film some street more. Thanks for the feedback.
