All my shit got stolen. buying advice

so im deployed right now and i just found out that my van got broken into back in the states, all the windows got busted out and they stole everything inside. unfortunately i had put all of my ski gear in the van hoping to keep it safe while i was gone. that didn't work. i wasn't able to get any skiing done last year so im really out of the loop when it comes to all the new stuff thats some out so im looking for some ideas on what stuff to buy, i need everything. i had ARV's and loved every second of them but im kind of leaning towards trying out a rockered ski. i ski mostly park but im all over the mountain and get in the pow sometimes. looking for something pretty soft and not too narrow underfoot like the ARV's were. I had the SPK boots and loved those too. 5'5 145lbs. like i said im deployed right now and my resources are limited so any input would be greatly appreciated. im looking to buy soon cuz were looking at being back in the states sometime in january and i want it there waiting for me. thanks guys

that sucks so much, respect for being a skiing soldier

but about the gear... you could probably pick up a pair of old spks and arvs off craigslist or the ns b/s/t forum, both of those things are pretty bombproof and have not changed too much in the last few years, hope it all turns out well

Don't listen to whoever said ON3P. He's paid by the company to promote their skis. ON3P is actually one of the worst ski companies you could possibly buy from.

My suggestions would be the Salomon Lord (half-rocker) or the Nordica Ace of Spades. I've skied on both, and I loved both of them. Both blew the ON3P skis I was riding on out of the water.

I'm not going to answer your questions if you are going to be rude to me like that. And yes, you are paid to promote ON3P skis just like you are paid to promote Evolve Chile. Your opinion is worthless to both me and the OP if you are partial to certain companies.

i dont know to much about gear but i do know that whoever stole your stuff is goin straight to hell. who would steal from someone protecting our country. hope everything works out man. stay safe

Ace of Spades are a stiff symmetrical (expensive) park ski, which will do ok on the groomed until you fuck the edges and will suck in pow. I've ridden them and I thought Volkl Walls were better, Moment Reno Jibs were better too.

The Lords are the most boring ski I've ever been on (or possibly Public Enemies), and the OP said he skis mostly park, why the fuck would he want Lords?

If you're gonna slag off a company you should say what ski you rode and why you didn't like it. Because at the moment it just sounds like someone who was riding ON3Ps ran off with your wife/girlfriend and you are a bitter lonely dude with cramp in both hands.

To the OP: It sounds like you want a ski that can do a bit of everything with a focus on Park.

No question the ON3P Jmo is gonna be a good option. Similar skis would be the Rossi S3 and Salomon 2012.

Since the ARV is a soft ski (was 2 years ago anyway), you might wanna look at the Kung Fujas as mentioned. You might find last years (narrower) somewhere. This years Line Blends are also pretty soft.

If you liked SPKs and they fit you well then just get another pair. If you find a boot you like, stick with it.

yeah these would be a really good choice for what your looking for. as for boot i would just go with spk's again, if you liked them new ones would be prime. im glad to know there are skiers in the marines, respect man.

That really really really blows man. Good luck with getting everything back, and thanks for going over and serving.

thats such a shame dude, people are shit sometimes. come home safe, and when you do, definitely look at the fujas'. ON3Ps are sick, just expensive as hell

Sucks that your stuff got stolen. I know how you feel; my car got broken into last year. Unfortunately, not everybody has solid morals.

On a side note, Don't get the Jeronimos. I rode them last year, and I didn't really like them. I'm riding on the Salomon 2012s now, and they are so much more fun.

Baahahahahahahahhahahahaha.

The 2012 is the most fucking unstable peice of shit i have ever been on.

And where is all this on3p hate coming from?

poor people that cant afford them?

They are the greatest company of all time.

The jmo and caylor are the 2 best skis i have owned.

I wasn't aware the definition of "trolling" had been changed to anything that differs from your opinion. I will try to be more like you from now on, if it helps me shed this title of "troll".

alright before kellen rapes any more kids who suck at arguing i am gonna get this thread back on track and help this poor victim of crime.

first off +vibes for you because it sucks gettting your shit stolen, especially while you are off serving your country.

secondly, i recommend to you the line blend ski. is a great all mountain ski if you are looking to spend lots of time in both the pow and park. it is pretty fat underfoot for an all mountain twin (100mm) and although it isn't rockered, it does have early rise in both the tip and the tail to get that float you are looking for. thats just my suggestion.

(kellen: please note that i am not claiming line is the best ski brand ever and that the blend is the best ski. nor, in any way, am i bashing on3p's products or company as a whole. lastly, i would like to say that even though i am recommending a line ski, that does not make me a "line whore." on that note, kellen, you are an on3p whore.)

fuck you always know what to say

oh wait, kellen. I have spotted a flaw. Americans love exploiting chinese workers and save money at the same time. be a real american and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. buy the blends

If you want to buy American, buy from Liberty Skis. My friend has the Liberty Morphics, and he absolutely loves them.

Sucks that this thread turned into a shitstorm

OP, thank you I have a lot of respect for you, i'm sorry your stuff got jacked, that sucks a lot

i hope it works out ok

Damn that sucks OP, + vibes.

I also recommend the Jmo, although I have never skied it, I have only heard good reviews until I came to this ridiculous thread infested with trolls who have never skied ON3Ps. Salomon sucks balls, so don't listen to the other guy. They just make really poor skis, that is a fact. If you order Jmos you could probably talk to the owners and have them ship it to you so you have it waiting for you as soon as you get home. If you have questions about ON3Ps contact Iggyskier on here or Ginko, they are both mods also.

By the way, K_M is not paid by ON3P, he is a rep though. He probably does or did get something from every code that was used to get $10 off, but that doesn't really matter. He reps them because he loves their skis because they are very quality skis.

damn sucks to hear about your shit man but thanks for doing what your doing over seas and i hope you come back and shred the gnar. honestly i think that the only way for you to find the shit you want is for you to ski on them yourself so i think that your should ride some demo skis so that you can decide what skis you enjoy riding on yourself but whatever you do dont get the salomon lords my buddy got a pair last year and those are some of the stiffest worst skis ive ever ridin on
muhammads a faggot

Whoever said Moment Rocker knows what he's talking about. Moment makes great skis, and I'm fairly certain they are cheaper than the Jeronimos as well. You would not regret buying the Rockers.

salomon lord for skis,i cant recommend boots thats a personal thing poles go into lost and found.Thank you for your service.

If you ride hard I wouldn't spend a excess of 500-600 on skis. That's just ridiculous no matter how good the skis or customer service is. If they break you're out loads of money and odd are the warranty won't cover it. Look at Blue House skis. Never found a company that has better deals on skis and they ski really well. If you like ARV's I'd stick with them though. People with hate on Salomon until they stop making skis but the truth is the skis are good. 2012's ride like a charm all over the mountain. Go with what draws you in at first because odds are it will be what you end up liking the most.
