All my music is ski music

I had my ipod on shuffle going for a run this afternoon. For 45 minutes straight every song that came on had been used in a ski edit/movie, or was by an artist I had discovered through skiing. Half the songs I can't imagine ever wanting to listen to if it wasn't for skiing. What is it about skiing that makes music so friggin awesome?
