All My Gear Stolen. What Next?

So unfortunately i just got all my gear stolen from my car on thursday I was shooting on a gh2 with some fd primes and a couple modern lenses. My question to you is what to invest in next manly lens wise? I was a big fan of the gh2 and very happy with the results. I am thinking of getting another one or investing in a gh3. I am also looking at maybe at the end of the sumer investing in a bmm camera of some sort to compliment. So i will be all on m4/3 mount. Any one have any lenses they have been digging allot on this mount? I have liked my fd primes but maybe i might want to try nikon or modern lenses?

Thanks for the help,

Jacob Callaghan

Correct me if im wrong....

But doesn't your auto insurance cover some stolen things from your car? Im sure it also depends on your insurer.

if this is the case, it may be easier for him to pay out of pocket given the inevitable increase in his rate. If he did claim t through insurance tho, they usually pay out cash for the value of the items stolen (at least that was the case in other threads), in which case it may be easier or more convenient to move to a slightly different system/set up

Even though I'm not a fan of modern glass, the Lumix 20mm 1.7 is a gorgeous lens. I have it on my camera most of the time I'm not shooting skiing. And it's small enough to keep your camera pocketable, making it a good travel setup.

It hapened in my garage so it is covered by renters insurance. and i only shoot video for the fella who asked.

My setup on my GH2 is: Nikon mount tokina 11-16, voiglander 25 .95, bower 35 1.4, nikon 50 1.8 ais, and nikon series e 75-150 3.5. I love every lens I own and honestly don't see myself really needing or even wanting anything else for video.
