All-mountain Twintip

Alright. I'm a 16 year old expert skier looking for a high performance all-mountain true twin tip. I'm from New Hampshire so I ski pretty much on East Coast stuff, with one trip out west later in the season. I'm 135-140 lbs, and ski about 80% on the mountain and 20% in the park. As you can tell, I'm not a big park guy but I love to bust out some jibs and switches on the regular slopes. I pretty much rip down the fall line, so I need something that can ski fast and hold well in all conditions. I'm not worried so much about a ski's park ability (I'd rather it have more all-mountain ability) but I'd like somehting that still has a decent ride switch and some pop to it.

I've beeng seriously looking at the Line Prophet 80. It seems like the right ski I'm looking for but I'd appreciate some hands-on advice, since I'm not getting a real clear message. I'm open to any suggestion/price range.

Much thanks.

PE's are great, but if i were you i think i would go with K2 seth vicouses, Armada ARV's, or salomon guns. they all charge pretty well, the ARV's are gunna be the softest out of all of em.

Cool. I've been thinking about the PE and Karma. What about the Foil? That's been reccomended to me also.

all of these are pretty good skis. you'll just have to figure out the flex you want. normally if you ski more big mountain than park, a stiffer ski (mojo, karma, pe) is good. Also I would look for something in the 85-90 width underfoot

he said he didnt really care if they could do park.. but yes my bro said they are super sick for everything, like they were great for charging, but then he said they would almost transform so they were super buttery. and evey ski is good on groomers, as long as they arnt the ARG's or the Pontoons

That good advice.

Since you live on the East Coast, I assume that you won't be getting into the light and fluffy stuff too often. So wide-waisted powder skis like the Seths, Prophet 100s, Mojo 105s, Guns, Gotamas, etc. would be a waste. Also, I assume you're skiing moguls and the wide-waist will make your skis seem a bit slower from edge to edge.

LAST YEAR'S CHRONIC WIDES - 85 underfoot, light and poppy, real stiff but able to be worked in.

'nuff said!

plus prophets arent "true" twins - they are directional fool

yep, or mojo 80 if you want it skinnier. head's are pretty industructable, and this year the flex is softened up from the 2x4s they used to be.

You can't go wrong with Karma's, but the best all mountain twintip for the Ice Coast that I've tried is the Elan Mo2

That ski just rips hard
