All Mountain/Spring/Park ski

Kinda in the market for a new mid fat ski. Stumbled upon a used pair of Kartel 106s 176 that intrigued me, however being 5'10 I feel like I may find these too short but I could score a great deal. Ill be mostly in Utah, hoping to head up to Hood in May next year and maybe some time in Montana. Id use this ski for small pow dump in the morning and park in the afternoon, as well as spring riding and mobbing around now and then. I already have a dedicated Pow ski as well as a park ski, so looking to fill that inbetweener. Any other suggestions? Do I pull the trigger on the Kartels? What Size should I loot toward for a 5'10 140 type III skier? I feel like a 180 or 181 would be perfect

Other skis I've considered are the Kitten Factory Razr 105, Faction 3.0 (after further research it doesn't seem like this fit my criteria), K2 Marksman, Armada ARV 106.

Take a look at the 181 Icelantic Nomad 105s as well. Great ski and seems to fit your criteria perfectly. Out of your options however, i'd say the ARV 106s would be at the top. The Kartels are an amazing ski but the 176 would feel like a twig; 181s tho would be awesome.

Yah pretty bummed the Kartel are 181s, but I'm Ballin on a budget right now. One con about the ARVs is the edges are thinner than the rest. I like Icelantics but probably won't pick the 105s up because I can never find a deal on them, which is why I left them out of my poll.

totally up to you but i was going to ask why you werent considering slightly skinnier, like high 90s. that way you could get the ARV and i believe they wouldnt have the thinner edges..?

also yes 180ish for length sounds great

You'll want the longer skis. 188s or whatever is in that range and rocker. You said these are for spring so don't short yourself.

I have a park ski (92 underfoot) that I am ripping on right now, and the are 96 would create too much overlap. I have a Bentchetler 120 underfoot and Joysticks that are 92 underfoot, finding something in-between that can do it all. My joysticks will be beat to shit after the upcoming year, and Ill upgrade to a longer size on the Kartels after the upcoming year as well. Getting both pairs for $300 combined is a hell of a deal
