All mountain skis help+k+a$$

So i'm gonna buy my first pair of skis. Lol, yeah I've always rented cos my dad's good friend owned the rental shop, so we got rentals for pretty much free, and ended up being cheaper than buying a pair for 1 or 2 seasons. So i was lucky enough to pick up a park or pow pair in the morning depending on what I was gonna do in the day (wasn't actually that great, cos its mainly a racing and beginner shop, so only dynastar, couple of rossignols and scotts).

Now that i'm not gonna grow much anymore, i'm looking into all mountain, with a nice flex for butters(not as much as al dente). Won't go smaller than 98 underfoot. I know most of you haven't rode the next season skis yet, but i need a bit of help as I might be missing the perfect ski for me, just cos I haven't heard about it. I was looking into the alpha x, (I like how its a race base) or the arv. I heard some good things about faction, but i'm sure head, line, atomic and the rest have some dope buttery all mountain too... Any good feedback, advice would be real nice! (budget, bindings, graphics don't matter for now)

ill just leave this here too for you pervs

they look real nice! almost forgot about nordica...can't find any flex info tho, you ride them? thnx n +k

Arv's are nice. Don't forget the AR7 which is a killer all mtn ski, little bit stiffer tho so not as easy to butter. You can still do them tho. I love mine

yeah since ill be doing more pow than park, i won't go with the ar7, I'm looking a bit wider and defitly less stiff. Still an awesome ski tho

carefull, soul riders are rated mid-stiff flex . i suggest the last years icelantic nomad rkr 140 on the tip , 105 underfoot, 130 on the tail . nice buttery flex . camber underfoot rocker tip and tail . go chek em out on evo they're 499$ (super great price concidering last year they were 699$)

Soul Riders have a mid-soft park flex, great for butters. Also check out Faction Prodigy, a great all mountain ski that is great for buttering around in the park as well. Both 98mm underfoot and they kick ass.

man now i have so many choices...they all look and sound great, all pretty much same stats ans price...which one do I get???

thnx to you all n +k answering that question: i'll ski mainly piste/bc.

1)I want a ski good for cruising around on the piste, which can carve a little

2) a nice flex without being noodles for butters n such

3) wide enough to perform well on pow days, knowing that i won't use them for really deep pow on big mountain

4) still hold in the park

so yeah an all mountain without being too wide + flex/gd carve (i know those don't really go together, an early rise can help tho)

so far my choices are:

1)shreditor 102, (not much feedback yet because knew, but if K2 is honest, then looks perfect altho the price seems a bit low $549 compared to the rest)

2)The alpha x, more of a piste ski, nice for bombing around, bit smaller than the others.

3)Jeronimos, looks very good too (+awesome graphics) maybe a bit too stiff too (medium)

4)PBnJ: sounds awesome i'd need some feedback tho, but again bit stiff?

5)Faction prodigy, not too sure about faction, seems too stiff too and small underfoot compared to tail/tip

6)Arv ti, (no vid on armada, kinda weird since its their most famous all mountain) maybe a bit stiff, i dunno.

so it all kinda comes down to flex and feedback (i know most of them are season 14) as for most of them im not too sure about their flex. Any info is so appreciated, just hard dealing with the amount of stoke + making the right choice!

I've skied the 112... and loved it. Was my favourite ski in the K2 line up this year. Didnt get to try the 102, but the rep said the main difference was the 102 would be a bit better in park. I hit the park in the 112's and they were fine. nice swing weight to them.

and in choppy snow/ a small amount of pow they were so playful.

PB&J is light and poppy, dirty mustache rocker is awesome. Crud to pow to park you are good to go. I am purchasing Deathwishes when I get my tax return.

so still not sure bout flex here, anyone who rides armada (non big mountain) could you tell me how well/how easy/not at all you butter (regardless of what ski u own) so i can get a gd comparaison, armada has a nice way of displaying the flex on website thx NS

Kitten Factorys All mountain ski is honest to god the best ski i have ever ridden...now i know that doesnt mean anything because you dont know who I am and have probably never heard of kitten factory BUT they really are an amazing ski. Light, nimble, poppy, carve well and can handle whatever condition you put them in....but otherwise I would recommend the Line Chronic blend or the 105 influence...but the new faty-pus delorme pro model has been getting high reviews as well

I'm in same situation and I think I'm getting line blends ... Just for my everything ski (already have k2 hell bents and nordica ace of spades)

thx! the jeronimos reviewed here are the 96 underfoot model tho, but nice review of the soul riders. I don't thhikn ill go with those tho.

Alright narrowed it down to 2:

-Shreditor 102

they look ultra playful in every terrain apart from deep pow, which i won't do with them. The price kinda bugs me tho, $100 cheaper than the jeronimos and they're meant to be better (looking at the k2 vid) is K2 less resistant? aany reason for a lower price than most similar models from other brands? I definitly wanna be able to keep them for more than a season.

-2014 jeronimos

heard awesome stuff about it, loving the graphics, just seem a bit less playful than the K2 but then again on3p don't have a vid

should i make a jeronimo vs shreditor 102 thread? maybe since no-one really rode them yet its pointless? god this is hard, im sure both of them would be amazing, but which one do I buy??

As far as price goes, K2 are made in china. But still very resistant. Their skis last. They make alot more so can offer them cheaper.

On3p are hand made in America and also have a very good resistance record.

thanks again too all of you, really helped there! i think i'll go with the jeronimos, i love the graphics and nobody has been saying anything else than its the best skis they've ever had!
