All-mountain capabilities of the TMs

How do TMs fare when skied all-mountain? I have the chance to get some Belangers pretty cheap, but I was looking for a ski with a little more underfoot. Will they be okay considering that I am only 5'11" 150lbs? Should I go with something wider? I wanted Karmas, but they are too damn expensive. What do you guys think.

P.S. I don't want to hear about how shitty Dynastars are on rails. I'm not planning on usign them for rails.

they are good all-mountain for about half a season... even if your edges don't die, they have a tendancy to go all sloppy and soft after a few weeks.

I've never had a chance to ski them on a real mountain, only my local hill that has no steeps or pow. But I'll be out west this year, so I want something that can rip anywhere.

gotcha. if they still have some snap, you'll be alright. they were always good carvers. i just distinctly remember how AMAZING there were in the pipe for their first couple weeks... and then they got less and less amazing. too bad. or maybe i got worse at skiing. but i don't think so. anyways, yeah, they'll probably be alright.

they were probably so good the first time that the next time they werent as good as you thought they were the first time.

Yeah, I agree, get the Big Troubles. Theyre wider underfoot so youll have that problem solved, and theyre stiffer, which I personally prefer. Anyway, get the Big Trouble.

the tms are one of the best midfat all-mtn skis on the market, 4 that kind of price. ive never run into a wall with these skis, tho i would say they r a little skinny 4 deep, deep pow. plus, the fucking rip in the bumps, so thats y i love em so much.

o yea, theyre also way sick in the trees.

The hell there isn't. I still want to be able to use them on my home hill, which, in the 13 winters I've lived here, has had one powder day. It's southeastern Indiana for God's sake. 92 waist would be good for my trips out west, but it would suck for a place whose vertical drop is a mere 400'.

good god man, how do you live, 400 FEET, I CAN JUMP OFF THE MOUTAIN, THATS LIKE A slightly large speed bump, you could like dive over it and be like oh shit i think we missed it, hold on all check,

jk

I know. But it is what it is, and I love it all the same. Anyway, this thread is no longer of any use to me. I got the Liberty SB 180s.
