Aliens. (do you believe?)

I don't really think I do (believe). but idk some times when i'm outside and look at the sky i think hum maybe some where out there. Like last year in space science we basicly learned the the universe is the most massive thing and i mean how could there not be something (even like micro organisms) out there, chillin and what not. And for some reason i think if there are aliens then i think indians chilled with them. Like there "gods" and such the and all the crazy storys these dudes had. Idk whatd do you guys think

haha i think i see some golden wheelchair worthy lines in there.

oh but i kid, i agree something had got to be out the somewhere, the universe is simply too huge and there are simply too many possibilities for us to be the only form of life.

yah theres porbably some crazy statistics that would prove it would be impossible for only us to be existant in all of the millions of galaxies out there...but then again we know so little about outer space which even furthers the arugment for life out there

didn't scientists just find proof of water on mars like not to long ago?

Personally I don't think humans alone (excluding animals) could have built the Pyramids. Why would it be just us in one big universe?

Playing the odds it is pretty much a certainty that there is intelligent life in the known universe. The real question is have we ever come in contact with intelligent creatures.

I am usually pretty conservative when it comes to out there scientific ideas but I really do believe that there is a good chance that people from our planet have come in contact with beings from other planets. One of the incidents that really sold me are intercepted NASA communications and that astronauts will not comment on seeing alien crafts in space. One of the messages was intercepted by a radio operator who was a respected member of society. It went something like "I can still see the alien craft on the port side of the space craft."

Another incident was a picture taken of a general with a memo in his had after the Roswell incident. After developing the picture and enhancing the image it is possible to make out a good portion of the memo and look it up to make sure but it has the word "disc" several times disproving the governments official report of what happened.

I really do want to believe thought and when I look at all the facts it is more probable that it is just the governments way to cover up test aircraft but fuck that I want the universe to be something more.

no shit there are aliens, the conditions aren't even that precise that require life. the odds that there is not life compared to there is life is astronomical. (no pun intended)

Excatly i think the same thing! I mean seriously there huge. OMG they had slaves. But these things are incredible and no one could have made that

i dont know about aliens, but there has to be some other sort of living creature in the universe. so, were in the milky way, which is one galaxy of millions, what makes us think were the only people in the universe. it cant be.

There's got to be aliens out there...

From what I know, apparently scientist's speculate that the origonal life on Earth came from a massive comet storm early in the Earth's history. This wasn't a normal storm, this was rain in the form of fireballs going on here, so the entire Earth was a molten ball. And the contents of comets include many organic elements like carbon and hydrogen, and of course frozen water. So once this storm stopped, Earth now had the elements to form life within the depths of the waters...

Out of the nearly infinite bodies in space, mainly the planets, something with an atmosphere, there has to be something with a very similar past as the Earth. Hell, in geology today my professor went on a tangent on how both mercury and mars showed slight evidence of Plate Tectonics... I know this has nothing to do with life, but it shows that those planets might have been once like ours, they're core's just ran out of heat to stop the convent...blah blah, but sometime, somewhere in this universe, there has to have been life on some other planet, maybe not intelligent, maybe they didn't make it even to multicellular stage before the planet's climate or status changed killing off the cells. But Earth can't be the only circumstance where this happened.

its funny, becuase i was watching the discovery channel today and it was all about how they Acient Egyptians are aliens and this woman went into hypnotic trances and had aliens talk through her. I think her part might be a bit of bull but i mena, there must be soemthing aout there..right?

Its doubtful that other planets could have ever harbored life in our solar system, Earth is kinda special because its in a very narrow range of distance from the sun thats supportive of life. I forget the statistics, but its predicted that if the Earth was just a fraction of a AU in distance, life would be hard-pressed to non-existent.

And yeah, Earth was actually seeded by comets and other interstellar bodies that were dragged into the center of the solar system as the planets formed. The comets we see today are the few remaining bodies still left out there.

If you run the statistics, with all of the stars out there and the percentage we are discovering to actually have planets and elements supportive of life, its possible that other "earth like" planets exist that may harbor life. The Universe isn't endless, but its damn near infinite, and its been around for a damn long time.

One of the most interesting theories I've heard was that Earth was seeded by comets and other bodies from space carrying simple bacteria or spores. This is mostly brought up when people cite that evolutionarily speaking, the time between the Earths cooling and life forming and diversifying was relatively short, and that these processes should take much longer... but to be honest, we've never seen life form independently, and most of early evolution is just speculation anyway since there isnt a good fossil record. So its possible... but again, I'm a fan of Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the most correct.

personally I dont really care because weve never gone out of this solar system so unless they come up with a way to travel through space faster we probably wont get out of this universe unless soe people were willing to give up their life and fly on a space ship for years. Because I doubt that if there is life that its in this galaxy so unless we get out of this solar system I doubt we will find them

There are advancement in science every day. If you look at the speed of human travel it is an exponential curve. Started with walking, horses, boats, cars, planes if you were to graph that the next step in human travel should be about 5000 miles per hour. and after that 50,000 so we are really not that far off from being able to travel to distant solar systems. Maybe even in our lifetime we will be able to see these advancements.

A great book to read is called visions by kaku. He lays out a pretty good outline of when we can expect to see these advances.

But imagine how insignificant the problems of earth will seam if we can confirm alien life. Its exciting stuff.

SOme scientist pcreated a mathematic algorithm that says 20 oother planets have forms of life on them. Could be as small as bacteria. But in the history of the world anything that has been proven by math has been found to be true at some future date. Search google about it

yeah i do heres why

i don't know if any of you guys have heard of 45north the dryland camp, but i was up there one summer. The whole camp spent one night in whispering pines camping resort so there was a lack of tents. Between like 8 and 9pm it started to rain harder than i've ever seen, there were tiny streams flowing through our camp within 2 minutes. Naturally everyone went for the tents and a few other kids and i had to break into the camp van because ther was no room in the tents. By the time we got our sleeping bags and such set up and into the vans, the rain had stopped. We spent the next hour or 2 talking. So everything was normal till i noticed that this guy was standing behind a tree adjacent to our van with a dog, he stood there for almost 20 minutes, periodically shining a flashlight around our campsite. Aight, i just blow this off as a guy taking his dog out. Soon after we see a man walk into a building we can see out the right side of the van, he never comes out... ok, now we're gettin worried. It's midnight and we've seen about 3 people walk in the building and not come out, the littler kids in the van are flipping out. So we see one last man enter the building, he holds a lantern and is wearing these ridiculous socks taht i can't help but laugh at. A while later, a heavy set man who we did not see enter, exits, wearing the socks and holding the lantern. Holy shit. So i'm freaking out because this is not right, it's like 1am what the hell is going on. And here comes the worst part, a kid in the van shouts and points to the sky out of his window, he's pointing to a big green light in the sky, my mouth just dropped. The light moved around like every damn ufo witness says they do, then dissapears. needless to say i didn't get much sleep.

FACT- our galaxy, consisting of every star we see at night, including each's solar systems, planets and moons, is not even equivalent to 1 grain of sand on all the beaches in the entire world, in comparison to any specific spot viewed in the sky, not even considering the entire sky. Ya, i'd say there is a chance.

It's mathematically impossible for there not to be aliens out there...Just too many planets with potential life out there.

Thats some crazy ass shit dude, This isn't really relivant to that at all...but I met a guy who was a gaurd at area 51 up in bristial bay on a random fishing site, and a few miles up the road i met a truck driver who drove into the compound and hauled a shipment of something down to the NASA base in flordia. He was saying the entire time he was accompanyed by 8 unmakred black SUV's...There is some freaky shit that goes on out there, but I defently belive in alians.

ya theres gotta be, even o planet in our own solar system, mars, couldve had life. obviously its a stretch, but apparently there might have been water there at some point but now its all frozen at the "ice caps"

Of course, the universe we KNOW of is incredibly massive and for all we know it stetches out into infinity, the odds are lookin' good.

Depends what you call aliens. If you call extra-terrestrial amoeba-like organisms aliens, then it's probably pretty likely, especially judging by the size of the universe. However, if you're talking about human-like lifeforms... then... well... I don't know. We are extremely an extremely advanced life form.

The possibilities are endless out there. It's huge, like, colossal. But the chances of there being another human-like lifeform is probably not that likely, unless the comets which hit earth brought along our lifeforms, in which case we are probably evolved from a similar lifeform out there somewhere.

I really don't know. I'll keep my mind open. I'll keep believing. It'd be cool to see some other life forms

the Drake Equation is the formula for calculating the odds of life existing outside of Earth.

the universe is so huge that its almost impossible that life doesnt exist outside of earth. Think of all the lifeforms on earth that all survive in different habitats, it seems likely that there is something out there that has adapted to survive within different conditions to what we survive in and whats to say that there isnt a planet out there thats similar to earth. Surely life forms could survive on a planet like that of which we live on, its just a question of wether or not life has being 'created' within that planet. I think its also a question of what created life, wether you believe in god or another 'beginning'. If a superior life from such as god existed whats to stop them creating life elsewhere. If you believe in a more scientific explanation then maybe it would be harder to believe in other life. Personally, i think theres something out there, maybe a simple lifeform such as bateria or some kind of insect, but somethings there.

I would be more inclined to believe in aliens if the people who believe in them on tv werent all inbred white people. Are the aliens racists and only communicate with rednecks? There could be something out there but until I see some proof other than a morons testimony I won't form a definite opinion on this.

Well i believe that there WAS unintelligent life, like bacteria and maybe some other kind of organism, but there may not be now.

of course all the mexicans and cubans

ahahahahahha

no but

they are real

I have no doubt they r there

u cant say there are no other life forms but us

that would be ignerante

Actully dude, Alexander the Great swears he saw alians when he was attacking some empire, didn't cath the specifics of it..but it was on the history channel. I thought it was intresting, and if there are other intellagent life forms out ther elike us...they probably regard us as the most redneck planet
