I've been drinking and going to parties since like mid grade 9.. same with everyone else in Toronto lol

How can you guys expect to have reasonable adults who can hold their liqour when you don't let anyone touch it until they're 21

It isn't out of the ordinary by any means, yet it still has this ultra-taboo light cast on it by the very adults who did it during their own youth. Talk about hypocrisy.

OP I dont know how old you are. If you're like 17/18 then party away. Have fucking fun in high school, learn how to handle alcohol and learn to not be a fucking dickwad when drinking. Just don't over do it and shit's fine.

As for you parents. I dont know. I would always tell them I was sleeping at a friends house. The simpler the story/cover up the better. If you go into too much detail you look suspicious as fuck. Whatever you do, don't get caught.

This right here dont listen to these people saying get drunk when youre older getting drunk is part of being a kid and high school and middle school it just is it makes memories its fun and you form strong bonds with people. Just go stay with a friend and then both of you go to the party and if your parents a call and ask just say you went to the store or some shit

Just do it or don't. Tell them you're having a sleep over, watching a 7th heaven marathon, and reciting bible versus. Then open a bottle of vodka and drink till you all puke on everything.

you're not supposed to ask ur parents permission to go to parties... you just sneak out or live at your friend's house all the time so its not an issue.

just gunna throw this out there, i finished high school early and moved from the east coast to whistler. i was 18 when i got here. being overwhelmed with the amount of partying options, thats all i ever did my first two years here. being in fucking whistler...i actually managed to get worse at skiing during those two years.

im not even going to talk about how it effects your schooling, as im sure i would not be the first to tell you. use your youth as a time to build skills that you will have for the rest of your life. get sick at skiing, get in shape, kill it at school. that feeling of new drug or sensation is very appealing. it wears off quickly. sure i still have fun drinking now a days, but its not that newfound adventure that it used to be.

All im saying is if you wait a bit, that adventure will still be there for you when your ready.
