We just gave a bunch of our mods the power to research IPs. Everyone is complaining about aliases, and it is now time to take a hard stance on it. You asked for it, so don't bitch about it.

Starting right now anyone found to have an alias will have both accounts banned, and if we see further alias creation we'll just IP ban the lot of ya.

So this is your chance to start fresh, stop posting under that alias and if you want to talk shit just do it under your own name! I mean its the internet... at least you can man up enough to talk shit under your screen name...

 
what if my brother wants to make an account, he used to have one be he forgot the password and he doesnt use the email that he registared with
 
Thats not a big problem. What we are cracking down on is people posting stupid shit under aliases.

If you don't cause problems then its no big deal if you change accounts.

Its more for active shit-talk-only aliases that we'll be cracking down on. The other ones where someone simply had an old account and changed over will just disappear into the sunset...
 
are you guys going to also delete accounts that haven't been used in like 4-5 years? cause right now the # of members is probably really deceiving lol.
 
they used to be but now they all do the same thing, a hey im new thread then random bitching and E-fighting till they get bored
 
Fuck yes. This will definitely be a good thing. Maybe now people will either grow some balls or think before they type. Then again, this is the internet. DAMN.
 
What about IP addresses that are at a University or whatever. Like a 30 kids in the dorms here have NS names.... arn't they all on the same IP address?
 
When someone makes a fake name, or Alias to make posts/threads to rip on people. That way their NS cred doesn't get damaged.
 
that happened earlier tonight, and it WAS pretty sweet. too bad they deleted the thread before the public shaming was complete.
 
i hate people that have aliases that rate shit so their shit gets top rated and make other people's stuff that should be top rated gets fucked. yay pwn dem nbs
 
Same thing, we can interpret the IP logs and see if that is the case. Its really obvious to tell alias versus different people logging in from same IP. I'm not going to tell you how we know though, but trust me we do.

 
i like this... i tend to get ripped by my buds and they'll do anything including make an alias on NS just to piss me off... Good work guyz
