Algerbra 2

you’ll be lucky to pass. Just start kissing your teachers ass and praying rn. Passed the class with a 66 last year

algebra is by far the easiest math you will ever take

college stats and pre calc r the easiest math i’ve taken by far. Stats is just a different kind of math and pre calc is just learning rules. Actually calc is prolly hard tho

Calc is infinitely harder than algebra brother man. I thought stats was harder than algebra, but it's borderline a foreign language, like accounting.

But what if I'm bad at all math equally?

And in regards to OP- can't help you, only math class I had to take in college was numbers and things for ding-a-lings (M110). We spent the whole semester learning to convert between imperial and metric, do basic math, and read graphs. I'm an English major (education) so that was all I had to take.

Accounting is just arithmetic though. Memorize which categories get added together and you're all good. Stats was legit hard, esp when it had calculus mixed in

Thats fair, I was pretty good at math throughout school and business calc was hard as fuck. I tested out of like 4 math classes before college.

Once we got to the part where we had to graph two functions/derivatives or whatever, find the area between the curves, flip it 360 degrees, then find the volume of that shape my grade pretty much tanked

If you're failing a HS math course other than AP Calc, you're being lazy and probably not doing the homework.

Block schedule kinda sucks. I'm in precalc rn and I barely remember anything cuz its been 1 and a half years since i took algebra 2. Otherwise block schedule is elite.

I still have fucking PTSD over the quadratic formula.

The homework I had NEVER prepared me for the test, and I'd always feel like I totally understood what was going on, only to realize the questions on the test would be more complex or in some backwards ass way from how the homework was taught and I'd end up getting absolutely fucked by it.

it would be like this...

Homework: Do this thing that we discussed in class, and practice it this way a bunch of times for the next 2 weeks.

Test: Remember how we drilled you over and over on how those problems in the homework? Well here's a bunch of curveballs that are just barely tangentially related to what we discussed - good luck with this, you have 50 minutes to effectively learn all this shit on the fly and your GPA depends on it! horray!

algebra 2 was easy. then algebra 3 came along, it wasn't the same teacher. different teaching method... basically the one that PCR outlined. and yay my precalc teacher this year happens to be best friends with my ag3 teacher from last year...

Wait wtf theres an Algebra 3 now? After Algebra 2, it was all just trig and stats and calc and differentials... Didnt know there was a 3rd level of algebra...

yeah idk how it is across the country. AG1, 2, and 3, then precalc at my school. but i'm a year ahead so you can take AP stat or calc senior year, if you're more than a year ahead idk what u do.

After Algebra 2 I went into Trig and then finished with Stats.

I thought it was always

8th grade: Algebra

9th: Geometry

10th: Algebra 2 + trig

11th: Precalc

12th: Calc or stats (optional)

My district didn't allow for any variation unless you failed and had to retake a class

you weren't allowed to skip ahead if you were smart? must have been an urban area

I was way ahead and took algebra 2 in 8th grade.

But my high school was small and wouldn't allow any deviations so it was back to geometry in 9th. Pretty lame

oh that is really stupid. i hope i can afford education for my kids when im older, public school is so bad because it has to pander to the lowest common denominator and doesn't actually push kids

Or just move to Massachusetts

Just don't have kids. No kids no problem.

As a guy who's job is pretty much just doing stats all day.....that shit is mad confusing. My masters biostats courses felt worse than a pivot on a backslap

This shit stumped me pretty good until I studied my ass off. Then I took calc 3 and had to graph 3D functions, Fucked

Saw stats and pivot in the the same sentence and immediately saw the excel logo in my head
