Alexi gayybout

haha that blows. i got 2nd at a slopestyle last season and got a pair ugly gloves that i gave to my dad.

dude. chill out. Alexis is a nice kid. theres nothing wrong with him having fun at a local comp. your just being a soar looser. Step up your game and maybe one day ull get the 500 bucks. Get on your grind man. Dont be a little girl. He earned that shit. He trains and works super hard for it. do the same and youll be there too. Everyones out for the same thing. to have fun and enjoy skiing. if your just there for the money you should re evalute your skiiing life my friend.
and excuses my spelling errors lol!

I competed against him at an AM comp at tremblant last spring. Im not that good and had no ambition to win, I just entered to be able to hit the jump, have fun, and ski with guys that could push me to get better.

I found it kinda lame Alexi was there not because it was an AM comp but cause of his attitude. He was strutin around like he owned the damn place. He was snaking the line in training all day and just being an outright condisending asshole to everyone. If he showed up and was somewhat sociable and had respect for the AM's I wouldn't have minded. I probably would have been happy to compete against him. I was there for fun and to learn which I think is a big part of most AM comps, but he was clearly there just to collect the cash and leave. I found it a pretty big mood killer.

Oh man, is that guy done with competing against university students who only have enough time and money to ride about once a week?

its an event most likely open to anyone

if he wants to compete he can

if you cant beat him thats understandable.... he's ridiculous

Isn't it more about the skiing than the money, at least in terms of going so far as to make a thread on NS bitching about it?

i didn't want to post in this thread but you asked a legit question so i'll respond.

first of all, i didn't know they even had comps out in ontario-way. second, tires aren't cheap, and they're costing somebody money, therefore you're earning something. i live in calgary, and i've never traveled east of here for a comp, only west. here in calgary, at C.O.P., they have weekly dirt jams and dh races, and i think you can win over $20 for a third-place finish, more for the other two podium spots of course (i didn't compete at C.O.P. this season so i don't know exactly what it was, but i know that the last time i competed at C.O.P. i won $50). i've won a lot more in other comps at bigger hills, but i've never heard of any comp not handing out a prize, whether it's money or bike parts.

so because this guy made a thread saying that the win would mean alot more to other kids who wernt skiing in aspen, whistler and france when they were 15 he is gay? and the reason for him being gay is because alexis is a thug......what a good point

and id just like to point out that for alot of kids its not about 500$ the fact that they'd win would make their year like he gets free trips around the world and gets all these oppertunities and yet he still feels the need to go to ottawa where he doesn't live (ps for all u kids that are saying he's local) and win a comp for 500$

n what bills does he have to pay he gets his ski shit for free n considering hes what 17 im sure he lives with his parents

"wah wahhhhhhh I cant beat a kid entering the same comp as me so I'm gonna cry about it."

Grow up, next time he enters the same comp as you and you're too scared to compete against him, pull out of the comp and get your money back.

u hatttttttttttteerrrssss clearly dont know anything about me.

some kids work at Mcdonalds, I SKI and i dont make much more money than they do in a year.

lay off

poor bastard has to ski all accross the world in the best parks with the sickest skiers and still only makes a little more than the rest of us.....

....so were supposed to feel sorry for you now? because you make a living off of doing the sport that you love? In the most amazing places to do it? and with the greatest athletes in the sport? I'm touched.

First of all this tread is kind of retarded... I mean, grow up. Of course Alexi is super sick at skiing, and its pretty obvious that most of these remarks are sparked by jealousy which is obviously understandable. Who doesn't want to ski for a living. Its not that big of a deal that he came to the clock tower rail Jam... besides its only a 2 hour drive for him.
The only thing I don't like about him is his attitude which many have already pointed out. I've been to a few comps against him and the kids attitude toward other competitors and even friends seems kind of gross at times.

For example, last year in the finals of the Telus Spin at Tremblant his friend bailed on both of their final runs on some of the biggest and sickest switch tens I have EVER witnessed. Alexi obviously stops the shit out of his sw tens both runs cause he's a robot. But on the second run he looks back and sees that his buddy fell and throws his arms down in disgust and gets super pissed at him. I mean, thats not cool.
I did this comp with my buddies too and one of them washed out and we ended up getting eliminated or wtv. Our teams reaction was to just be pumped that we had a good time, and even got to take part. Not one person showed the slightest bit of bitterness or anger towards our friend.

So basically, I think Alexi is a sick skier but he has a childish arrogant attitude. And this is based on what I've seen from him at various comps.

Alexi who? ive never heard of him before. he must be some loser kid who isnt good at anything..

There were tonnes of sponsored riders at the Clocktower jam, not just Alexi. He entered, he hit the setup, he did better tricks than everyone, he won, its a competition.

It was a simple setup, he did modest tricks, its not like he blew everyone out of the water.

I have this hilarious image in my mind of Wallisch showing up to an amateur Railjam doing Rodeo 6s on to 450 out.

there is definitely an unwritten code of ethics that pros do not enter amateur events. Its like joining a t-ball league when you are in the majors and trying your hardest. weak.

however, I wouldnt consider alexi pro. he's sponsored, probably makes barely any money and hasn't succesfully established himself. depending on the size of the comp it could be fine. Since there was a cash prize (decent sized) and there were other sponsored riders, it sounds like a bigger event and I say legit.

to whomever said he stole a $2000 purse from an am comp...$2000 isn't given away to attract ams. Dream on

YA!!! HE'S SO GAY!!!! He's probably a millionaire and has 7 lmaobourghinis in his mansion garage. Pro skiers make so much moneyz I'm jell-us

He should have been at all those pro comps that there aren't any of right now

keep hatin on him maybe one day like him u will make money for what u do best (well for u it will be hatin..) but the day u will want to ski and make a living out of it drop it go up the mountain and train ur fat ass!

and then we'll talk about it!

loosers

Coles knows what's up. End thread. Can't believe how much hate there is on AG... kid's gotta eat, right? These guys don't make that much money. 500 is a fair sized purse.
