Alexandria Bridge jump

anyone done this? me and a buddy were thinking it's was a great idea. It's about 50 feet so not entirely too high and I'll check to make sure but the water's like 80 feet deep below it.

only thing is, are there any sort of problems from cops doing it? cause it would have to be during the day and probably every car going by will think it's suicide or something. I'd hate to climb out of the water and get slapped with a 60 dollar fine.

and if anyone else wants to join feel free.

and it's this bridge in case you didn't know:

The currents pretty strong in the center, plus the water is going to be nasty. If you plan to do it there is going to be people on the bridge because one side is a high traffic pedestrian walkway. I guess you got to do it fast because someone is likely to call the cops.

There have been several suicide attempts off that bridge over the years. I almost guarantee you'll have the cops showing up if you jump. Though not sure the consequences.

Im sure you can find a much safer/fun place to jump because i doubt your going to flip it and its far more fun when you find a cliff/bridge you can flip.

yea for sure the cops are going to show up but still can't find if/what the consequences are.

and it's not so much for the jump itself cause there are a lot of awesome places for jumping (was just at the quarry near barrhaven which has some sweet cliffs to jump), but it's more just for the satisfaction of finally jumping it. every time i walk across it's so damned tempting. plus it would be an epic claim

but i'm thinking a life jacket would be a good idea, the likely hood of people thinking it's suicide if I have a life jacket and bathing suit on are quite a bit lower. plus it helps with the whole strong current thing if there is one. the jump itself really isn't any problem as I've done higher before

don't wear a lifejacket thats the dumbest thing ever, you will mess up your arms. Other than that it the idea seems legit, but i sugest haveing a boat down there to pick you up and a friend on the bridge telling everyone it isn't suicide.

sounds fun, but i wouldn't. the suicide/cops thing is a deterrent, and the water will be fairly fast and gross. too public.

lanks on here jumped off the mackenzie king bridge. Pretty sure that ones higher too. check his profile I think there might be the video on there still...
