I miss this guy in the ski industry. He was always throwing down. Super genuine guy when I met him on the chair at Breck.

Hes a fucking awesome guy and he promotes the idea that tough love is not a good thing. Every time i hear a person say the word “enabler” i want to fucking smack them.

It was a shame he didnt make sochi and its a shame he got cancelled for telling the truth about the kenworthy shit. I am happy for kenworthy but you have to be an asshole to assume that he didnt steal some of the spotlight from other skiers like schlopy.

Iirc i think he said alot of the US pro skiers felt like kenworthy stole the spotlight away from other skiers and majorly cashed in when he came out.

i think kenworthy probably has enough money to retire by now from all the sponsorships/media attention he got. Meanwhile joss Christiansen probably earned less than 5% of what kenworthy earned, even though joss beat him in sochi.

I remember hearing some pros saying that Gus being gay was not a secret at all within the industry, and his coming out before the Olympics came off as a huge publicity thing. Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn't, i dont know.
