Alex ferreira is the shawn white of skiing

i highly disagree. alex is super chill in person, and just a nice kid. i haven’t had any negative interactions with him.
 
Ferreira's personalty is electric. If you are talking about his skiing being top notch then I agree

Can someone fill me in on why we all hate Shaun White? I need specific examples because every time I read about him people just say he's a dick. What has he done to make him a dick? Not necessarily defending him but he's definitely played a huge role in making snowboarding as popular as it is and in turn helping freestyle skiing progress to the point that it is today

He is just generally a huge douche who doesnt care about the community aspect of action sports. Unfortunately he is a fucking beast at halfpipe so he still gets all of the media attention and biggest endorsement deals.

- In the Crash Reel (doc about Kevin Pearce's accident) they talk about how Shaun got super weird and defensive and competitive once he started beating him in contensts, including throwing Kev out of his house and chucking all his shit into the yard.

- He also was super weird about having his own training pipe and not letting anyone else use it/practice with him

- MANY people on here have reported had bad encounter's with him not being willing to sign autographs/being a drunk asshole/being a dick to people in the park (so much so to the point that he often gets brought up reddit threads about worst celeb encounters)

- Bunch of shit went down with his band that I believe was a results of some sexual assault-related stuff on a female member

He basically epitomizes the corporate comp jock side of action sports and is just generally not a very nice person. There is deff tons of other stuff Im forgetting too

yeah I'm always on this site and watch tons of edits/movies but I only have a vague idea of who alex ferreira is lmao
