Schilling is 9-2 in the postseason will an ERA under 2. He still rocks. That being said, this is going to be an epic series. Can't wait. GO SOX GO!

Also, Torre shoud have been fired after 04'. Blowing a 3-0 lead in the ALCS? C'mon. Yeah he has led them into 12 straight post seasons, but he's 0-7 this decade with the highest payroll in the league and subsequently one of, if not the best lineup on paper each year. That's unacceptable. He needs to go.

The bullpen didn't give up 16 earned runs. Starting pitchers aren't the bullpen and you don't count errors as earned runs which accounted for a couple of the runs.

Joe Borowski gave up the only earned run from the bullpen and it came in the ninth inning of game 4. So the bullpen was almost perfect through the series.

they figured gagne couldn't blow a 7 run lead and they could save papelbon/okie's arms. although gagne still had my heart going.

It's safe to say now that Beckett is the AL Cy Young winner after tonight and his lightsout start against the Angels in the ALDS.

How can a team expect to win a series by walking in two runs?
 
they put him in to save the REAL bullpen for the close tight games, im happy gagne didnt give up anything tho
 
sox fucking choked last night. i can understand a tie breaker of one or even two runs. BUT SEVEN????? way to go gagne. get the fuck of my team you d-bag. they better step it up tomorrow.
 
Gagne did give up the winning run but the next two guys weren't much better either. Its sad that those were the last two pitchers left in the bullpen and they got stomped.

Like we talked about before, the Cleveland bullpen is real good.
 
ehhh......Westbrook has been a little shaky lately but then again hes due for a good outing Matsusaka hasn't been exactly awesome either so it might be a batting duel like saturdays game.

ok, i have to admit, i have not actually sat down and watched one of these games yet all the way through, mostly keeping posted on what's happening online while doing my shitload of work. i think that's the problem. so, tomorrow, i shall watch the entire game to see if our luck changes. should i also shave to see if that helps too?

Don't worry, the loses have nothing to do with superstition....The Indians are just totally out playing them and are very deserving of their 3 wins.
 
The Indians and the Rockies will be a way more interesting series anyway. Both teams don't have the largest salaries and are full of young players who are in the playoffs for the first time. They are two very similar teams and would face off very well.

I'm tired of seeing teams who spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year on their baseball players. Teams like the Indians and Rockies actually have players who play because they love the game of baseball not because their getting payed 20 million a year.
 
As a Rockies fan, I hope Boston can get their shit together and push it to a game 7. At which point I hope game 7 will go to 20+ innings so they will be so exhausted they wont know what to do when the World Series hits. But whatever, what happens will happen I suppose.
 
i think the indians are gonna win in 6. indians-rockies world series is gonna be sick. both teams are young and can hit

ya dude, 2004 was amazing they could easily come back from being down only 3-1. the red sox are clutch and can pull it off.
 
last time a team came down from 3-1 befor the sox was none other than the MARILINS, who pitched a shut out in that game to bring them back to 3-2 was none other thatn JOSH BECKET, they later went on to win the world series, so suck it clevland
 
i dont know. As a rockies fan i would be worried about loosing the crazy momentum. They have almost too long of a break. Red sox are really not in bad shape. Becket then schill then anything can happen for game 7
