Alaskas finally getting a big ski resort!

alaska is getting a brand new 4500 acre ski resort just a mile and a half away from alyeska.they will start building it in 3 years(according to my dad). finnally we get something bigger than aly!

yea dude, should be sick. i think its gonna be around the valley where the snowcats run right now. or somewhere around there. they did a newspaper article on it awhile ago and they said parts of the valley gets 1/3 more snow than aly does right now.

When I'm old enough to drive, and my mom stops being peranoid about driving to girdwood, I'm gonna ski Turny all weeeeek.....I though they were just adding on to ALyeska, not making a new ski resort. Will they give it a park?

well when everyone is off riding this new resort, i'm staying at alyeska and having the time of my life like i always do...and no one else will be there.

clearing takes 1 summer (if they just go at it) and towers can go up in the same if they time the building right it only takes 1 full year to put up a resort, most hold up are the lodges and outbuilding. its all about timing the efforts that why it prob takes 2 years just to plan it and get every cordinated.

theres no press release or documentatin or any proof for that matter so i say this is all a bunch of hype. they atleast talk about the hatchers resort...but this is all talk. until i see some resort manager make a statemetn ... this will be just another rumor about resorts in alaska

my dad has some weird insider info, and I asked him about it and he said they're probably not gonna start building for another 6 years...as for Hatchers, I heard if you jib an 80-foot rail that they're gonna put up, then you get a free pass, but only for the first few months it's open.

dude...dont count on it ever happening..its the most retartded idea ever..its gunna cost like a billion dollars to make and alaska doesnt have the population to support a large resort like that..just alyeska is having trouble getting enough people to come because there really arnent eny people...the population cant support a resort of that scale....ill believe it when i see it...but untill then just be happy with what you got bro cus alyeska is one of the most progressive mountians out there
