Alaska in May

Yo.

I am a skier from Minnesota and my Dad is heading up to Anchorage, AK in May for a firefighting conference.

He said I could tag along, we would be staying in Anchorage and I was wondering if there is still any skiing in May? Good skiing... skiing that would be worth me hauling my ARGs out and that is within a couple hours distance of the city?

If there is no pow skiing or BC, is there any park skiing maybe? I have no clue, I hope you guys can help me out.

yea alyeska is open every weekend till the end of may, then we have summer camp the first and second week in june which is really the only legitimate park we get all year.

Hatchers pass... most of the way up archangel road... to your left... a sheer cliff with a large rockfall to the right, climbers love it i forget what its called... climb the rockfall w/ ocassional mining reckage... get into the bowl and have fun with 3-5 chutes.
