thats right, al gore's son got in trouble with the law. he got caught with some mary jane and some pills n shit. but see, theres somthin funny about this, the police caught him speeding, going about/over 100mph. and you're prolly thinking, ok, its fast, but not super fast. he was in a hybrid toyota prius...wtf? it looks like it goes about 75...max. some people are joking that toyota should use that shit to help the car sell cause i doubt any1 thought it would really go that fast. and for all the ricers its another car they can make "sick and fast". i thought it was pretty interesting.

atleast he was driving a prius. I guess nobody told him that the fuel efficiency thing isn't that great when you're going over 100.

you think that goes above 100? i dont care if its a car, it still doesnt look like itd go over 100

oh wow, double post with some1 elses post inbetween..weird

eh still. i didnt think itd go that fast...and its not built for that. like troutbum said, it does nuthin fuel economy wise wen ur driving that fast, its just not built for that

there is a video out there of a tiny electric or hybrid car smoking a ferrari in a quarter mile drag. i'm cereal.

yeah electric cars have a much higher torque than a normal car. the power goes directly into the axle and shit like that.

haha im watch the south park episode about him right now. stupid fucker thinks we need a huge energy consuming concert on every continent to tell us all to use less energy

yes and he is v. rich and lives in an enormous guzzling house.. all of those celebrities are ridiculously hypocritical.. sheryl crow was telling people they could only use 1 piece of TP to wipe their ass if they were real environmentalists.. yet she charters private jets around the world for her gay music tours

Their house has 30-some solar panels, so as big as it is, it's probably more efficient than most normal sized houses.

really?? i did not know that!! my dad wanted to do that shit too.. but he coudn't afford it.. one time when we were driving down to humboldt to stock up we spent like 5 hours at a windmill farm discussing that shit with the experten

ya, pretty cool eh? He was asked about that during an interview the other day and mentioned that. He also said that unless he has to get somewhere immediately, he flies commercial flights as well. So it isn't really about being 'perfect' in becoming carbon-neutral, it's about doing SOME things that you can in order to be more efficient.

i have a toyota prius and ive done...

115 in a 65

76 in a 25

80 in a 35

and i did it with less gas than you bitch

ya that scene in an inconvenient truth he is in the airport.. no one even like recognizes him either.. i think he should run for pres now.. hes got a lot more gusto then in 2000

I've never seen an inconvenient truth. He said he's 'fallen out of love' with politics, though, so who knows if he'll run.

something like that. He said he didn't enjoy the 'spin' that was necessary in every aspect of convincing others of your politics.

your all missing the point here, no matter how fast a hybrid can go, it will still be gay as fuck.

hybrid cars = gay butt sex

understand?

you can't honestly tell me that you would want to drive a prius over something like and STI, S4, M3, or any other sports car?

"their house"...it's houses, not house. he has three. do you know about his carbon footprint? he may own a couple of energy-efficient cars but doesn't he have body guards? he has fucking SUV's. last time i checked my dad gets 16 miles to the gallon. he doesn't fucking drive little ass cars. oh and what about his private jet? did you know that jets contribute more to this whole global warming shit than cars have in the past 100 years that cars have been built? i also seriously doubt that those solar panels that he has are really contributing to his fountains, and chandeliers, and plugging in his cars that he supposedly drives, and all the ovens in all of his houses.

"The think tank report cited figures from the Nashville Electric Service that showed Gore burned through 22,619 kilowatt-hours of electricity at his house last August, a rate that is twice the level used by an average U.S. household in an entire year."

i know how you love FOX so here are more links...

"Public records reveal that as Gore lectures Americans on excessive consumption, he and his wife Tipper live in two properties: a 10,000-square-foot, 20-room, eight-bathroom home in Nashville, and a 4,000-square-foot home in Arlington, Va. (He also has a third home in Carthage, Tenn.) For someone rallying the planet to pursue a path of extreme personal sacrifice, Gore requires little from himself."

he's not a saint. he's not even efficient.

good research. I'm aware that he's not a saint; I don't even particularly like him. What I DO like, though, is that he's making the effort to take this high-class lifestyle of his and doing SOMETHING to be MORE efficient; not necessarily perfect, or even neutral in his efficiency level. Proportionally to what the normal person has, he's probably pretty even when it comes to efficiency per square foot, when it comes to his house(s). I'm not feeling like doing any research, so, again, good finds, and hopefully somebody will refute it.

And I don't look at him as this almighty figure, as you said he isn't, I see him as somebody famous who, using what he has (his name/popularity) to encourage other people to do something good. He's making a fortune off of this, sure, but he's also promoting a good cause. Hell, he could be doing nothing and still making money, so at least he's making an effort, even if it isn't a saintly effort.

you can't stop global warming. sure it's a good thing that he's making people aware. but you know with all that singing i wonder how much carbon dioxide was in the air at the stadiums. lol. and all the electricity to run all the lights, the amps, the screens, and well pretty much everything.

my question is...where people actually thinking about the weather during the concerts? lol.

but al gore makes me mad just because he's a hypocrite aka limousine liberal. along with a couple others that i really don't want begin to even think about.

Ann Coulter actually had an editorial on her site (I don't remember if she wrote it or it was copied) that went through details of the lack of efficiency in the LiveEarth concerts. It should be somewhere on her site, in the archives. It's worth a read if you can find it.

every politician has alot of stuff, especially any ex vp ect ect. at least he talks about some policies that make economic sense and reduce the carbon footprint.

I wish Americans as a whole weren't retarded, More economics and an unbiased examination of history and politics should be required for high school. then maybe more people could see through bullshit and tricky wording and candidates might have to actually delve into issues rather than trying to spin everything that happens and is said their way.

Humans caused global warming and killed all the dinosaures. Al gore knows this, which is why manbearpig exists and he hates Alantis.

20,000 $ bail seems like a lot to me. How do the cops find him soo often? He must suck at driving. Thats pretty sweet that the prius gets up to 115...whats that in km/h?  like 140?

that thing could easily go over 100. a hybrid means that half the cars powewr comes from electricity. not that it is more efficient by using less power.
