i play alot i wear a paintball mask its kinda much but its all i have crappy ski gogles and stuff like that a sweatshirt mine are powerful but to lite to break anything but they leave welts if your clothes are too baggy you wont be able to feel them tho so not to much clothes and not to little

A know sum one who has one they are fun to mess around with but i think it would get old fast and not worth all that money!

i used to fool around with airsoft guns with my cousin, but he never could hit me, ever. so one day i just picked up a gun to see what it would feel like to be shot, and i blasted myself point blank in the back of the hand.
it wasnt all that bad, stings a bit, and leaves a welt for like two weeks.

Airsoft has a huge range of different quilties of guns and different ranges and accuracies. I would definatly say that, if you have about $500 or $600 you can defiantly get a airsoft gun that is more powerfull/hurts alot more then a paintball gun. there are several types of airsoft guns:
Spring - you can get a decent spring hand gun for about $15-$30. these usually shoot around 200 feet per second and they use the light .12g ammo (not very accurate). they arnt that great if your gonna get into arisoft much. jsut good for fucking around everyonce and a while or for basement wars.
then there are spring airsoft rifels. I used to have one of these and it served me quite well (i might get another one becuase it is good to have 2 guns...). there one that is the most common that is decent is the UHC/HFC mp5(here is the link to the hfc one. it is a little less powerfull then the ufc but it has pump action). these will run ya $50. they are much better and if your gonna get at all in the least bit serous, i would highly suggest one of these. if you dont want to spend that much money, are willing to take good care of your gun, and want somthing better then a pistol, get a HFC bull pup the bull pup is a little less durable so you have to take good care of it, but other then that it is about par to the Mp5s. another option is the hardballed shotgun. i dont have a link for that one but do a search on google is your really interested. the hardballe has probably the best build qualidy bit is a little less powerfull. you can also get a sniper which is the most accurate airsoft rifel i have ever seen! my friend has it, it is the super nine.you have to cock spring guns each time you fire! decent spring rifels liek the ones i listed shoot 300+ feet per second exept for the Super nine which claims to shoot around 400 (i think it is closer to 360 or so myself)
then there are gas airsoft guns. these can be alot more powerfull (my glock is 320 feet per second). gas guns are wither semi aurt (one bullet fires every time you pull the trigger) or fully auto or both. my glock is semi (i didnt want to spend the extra money for fully and i dont need to waste ammo so...) some gas guns are blow back. this means that the slide 'blows back' every time you pull the trigger! this is really awsome and this is what my gun has. you can get a good (non-blobback) HFC USP gas gun for $40. that gun will do ya fine. it is what all my firends have. you might want to look into getting a second clip though becuase it only holds 13 rounds. (i like mine, the mag is fully metal and it holds 23!). if you want to spend the money you can get a really kickass fully metal gas gun. the one thing about gas guns is that you have to now keep buying not only the bbs but also the gas. it really isnt too expensive for gas ($12 for enough to last ya 3000 rounds and you usually use 200-500 rounds per game).
the last kind of airsoft guns are Automatic Electric Guns (AEGs) these are kick ass kick ass kick ass! but they will cost ya atleast $300 once shipping is calculated! the most well known manufacturer and the best (unless your gonna spend over $1000) is Tokyo Marui. You can get all sorts of assault rifle models in AEG form from around the world. I really wnat one of these but if i get one my firends would never play with me becuase it would suck for them and also becuase i dont want to spend that much so im not ging to get one. you can also get hi capacity mags for these that hold 300-500 rounds and you can get drum clips that hold 2000. these guns also have alot of upgrade potential. a stock AEG is around 280 fps but if you spend say $20 you can get up to 350 feet per secons and if you spend more you can probably get some to go to 500 fps! (ouch!). it is aloways a good thing to see where you are ordering from. the linked website i gave is based in asia. shipping is alot more then for a place in the us but still the overall price is cheaper. the only thing is waiting for it to shipp and also very rairly, customs will sieze items such as airsoft guns.
WARNING DO NOT BUY A GUN OFF E-BAY UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT IS AND WHAT COMPANY MAKES IT! IF THINGS ARE TOO CHEAP DONT GET THEM!!!! THERE ARE ALOT OF SHITTY BUILD QUALITY AIRSOFT GUNS OUT THERE AND NOT ALL OF THEM ARE CHEAP EITHER. YOUR BEST BET WOULD BE JUST TO TALK TO ME. OR YOU CAN GO TO and ask the folks over there. if you go there remember to use the search function!
ALSO: many people do not know that you can buy biodegratable airsoft bbs! and no they are not harmfull in any way to your gun! they are however more expensive. that link is a good place to buy normal bbs in bulk too.

you must of had a typ-o becuase it says 245 fps. my firend has that exact gun a swear! (it came with the same lazer and light and stuff) and it broke. sorry to brake it to ya. the only spring rifel i would buy that is under $50 ($49 or so tha tis) is the bull pup i talk about in my article. if you treat it with care, it should last ya. (you might/probably will have to glue another bold on there but that is really really easy becuase some people have said that the bolt brakes off but all of the poeople i have talked to have said that they just glues a dowel rod on there and it was fine. that bull pup is $25
cocking really isnt too band. you could get the hfc mp5 i talk about in my article and that one is punp action so it is prutty fast! it also has a mag that holds 40 rounds, that is prutty damn good. you want find a rifel that you wont have to cock every time for under $250. the bold action on the UFC mp5 isnt too bad either. that is the one i used to have. all you do is pull this bold that sticks out on the side back about 4 inches. serously that is it. you dont have to push it down or pull it up or anything!

the mini electric ones that run on 4 AA batteries suck! sorry to brake it to ya again but those have a range of mabey 15 feet. they are really un powerfull. the mp5 or the bull pup is definatly your best bet. if you dont mind not having a rifel, get that gas USP i talk aobut. it is a great one for the price and you dont have to cock it every time since it is gas. in order to get a decent rifel that you dont have to cock you have to spend about $250

well i dont know if you can make the bull pup more powerfull. i was talking about the mp5. either one is plenty powerfull though. i am not sure if you can do that to the bull pup, i would assume you could but i would have to see it.... (i might get one soon and we will see if i really want to open it up when i get it (I used to have a desert eagle pistol that i opened up and i couldnt figure out how to put it back together becuase all the parts sprung out at me when i opened it up. i am sure you will have just as much fun withought adding more power like that. it is really not worth it.

i think shipping is $7 from them. my firends have ordered from their before. i dont know of any stores that sell them that would be in your area. Gart sports sometimes has some but usually they suck. if you 'add it to your cart' and then checkout' and go untill it askes for credit card or whatever it shoud tell you.

they used to make an airsoft chaingun like jesse ventura's gun in predator, it was like 500 fps and shot at a ridiculous rate. i saw a video of it being fired at a cardboard box, it looks like the box just disintegrated.

My friend shot a glass cup, and it shattered into a million little pieces. They do dent walls. DO NOT CUT OFF THE ORANGE PART! some kids in my school were fuckin around and went into town without the orange thing, people called the cops, and they almost were shot with POLICE RIFLES! (the real kind, with fuckin bullets) So, moral of the story: be smart. dont go into populated areas, and dont get shot up by police

note on the gas guns- ive heard they brake easily, gaskets and the like,
and, cops are authorized to use deadly force in the presense of look alike b/c they cant tell the diff, even if they have orange tips, so dont carry them in a populated area

the japenise gas guns brake if you use some of the more powerfull kindes of gasses. other then that most of them are rock solid! my firends broke becuase he drie fired it too much (fired it withough any ammo or gas, you know jsut fucking around pulling the trigger) but never had a problem witha gasklet and even if you did you can get replacements prutty easly and then it is all good.
