ugh my flight home from australia to canada sucked sooo bad. so we get to the airport, we check in, everything is going great, they said the flight was just delayed 15 minutes, no big deal, so we wait, we go through all this screening because we are flying to LA first then to toronto....we are waiting, and waiting, after about 6 hours of waiting, they tell us the flight is cancelled because of mechanical difficulties and they are putting all of up in a hotel for the night, which was ok, but annoying. so they told us to go get our luggage and someone would meet us down at the luggage carousel to tell us what to do....we had to go back through customs first, which meant waiting in the wrong line first for an hour, then someone telling us where the right line was, and waiting in that for another 2 hours...then we get our luggage and from there on sorting out who was going to what hotel, was a MESS. it took another 4 hours from there to get it sorted out where we were going. they give us the number to call in the morning to see if our flight was back on.....
so we get to our hotel, which was awesome, had a 100$ seafood buffet dinner each, went swimming and hot tubbing, then slept...get up in the morning early, call the airline to see about our flight, after waiting on the phone forever they tell us its back on, to come to the airport....
we get to the airport, wait in line for 2 hours, then they tell us the flight is cancelled again or still...they would be putting everyone up in a hotel once again, at this point we are pissed, we want to get the heck out of australia and back to canada ( no offense australians, what we saw of your country was beautiful!)....while we are waiting to get hotel arrangements for the night, they say they have 2 seats on a plane to new zealand, that then goes to LA, then to toronto...which sucks, but we want to get home, and they have no other empty seats or flights going to LA or toronto....so we take the 2 seats to new zealand first....wait to get confirmation that we are indeed on that flight for another 2 hours....then we get on the plane...
the flights from there went on well, except for our 8 hour delay in LA..which was boring, very boring.
well that was my longest post ever. i doubt anyone will read it all, but whatever.
