And a bunch of skiers on a forum have the experience to justify which Air Force is best?

No they don't have the experience, which is why I think it's ridiculous for Skidubaiguy to say how amazing the French Air Force is compared to the US. I have 2 French guys in my squadron and they are very impressed by our training (quite honestly they complain a lot because our standards are so much higher). They are great guys, but they are a bit behind the norm.
Good point with the Air Force pilots, a lot of them know what's wrong, but not how to fix it. I don't know about the Marines and maintenance that much, but I could definitely say the pilots are not the primary maintenance force.

first off, what the fuck are you trying to say about the revolutionary war? It was between the 13 colonies and Great Britain, not the french. Second of all, do you recall WWII? If you knew any history you would know the French surrendered and we had to save their ass (again). And they have yet to pay us back.

you are a dumbass. Honestly, have you ever read or heard anything about the revolutionary war? The French HELPED the Americans win it.
And yes, i do recall WWII quite well, which is why i said IN YOUR LIFETIME. Were you alive during it? Doubtful. And as has already been pointed out, if you're gonna rank on France for that, you might as well go after just about all of Europe. Had Hitler had a path to the US, i guarantee you they would have been crushed too. The US had a nearly non-existent standing military after world war I. And its not as if the French didn't do anything to help, ever heard of the resistance? Of course Americans downplay it because they're the big dominant force who had to come rescue the weak europeans from the big bad germans. The French resistance was crucial in the Normandy landings, doing things like knocking out communications lines and just fucking with the germans to cause chaos. And you know, the French are very grateful for the Americans help, that country will never forget what the Americans did for them. Its a shame the americans can't be a bit humble, and not feel superior in every way because they wiped out Germany's weaker soldiers.
I'm not trying to downplay what the Americans did, it was a great thing and i respect every man who helped liberate France, but I find it disrespectful to them for this generation of Americans to be like "fuck the French pussies, we saved their asses!" Thats an attitude that I am willing to bet most veterans would frown upon.

Red Arrows-BAE hawk- Fast jet trainer for RAF and afew other countries, the goshhawk the US navy uses is a navy conversion of this jet

Ihought i explained i was only talking about which video is best, the US would probably beat the french in air to air combat because of the US's supirior aircraft and equipment, but the french probably could put up a fight through sheer flying skill.

The French team is known as the Patrouille De France. They fly alpha jets which are nice little aerobatic, fast jet trainers. The Royal Air Force Red Arrows fly the BAE Hawk, which is pretty much the same as the alpha jet's characteristics. The Italian Frecce Tricolori fly Aermacchi MB-339s, another trainer, and i believe the Swiss Patrouille Suisse fly American built f-5s. Though i think the Swiss team is going to be disbanded soon when the f-5s are retired from the fleet, sadly.
Most teams in the world use some form of trainer just because of fuel costs. It costs a lot to keep a team going. I would love to see the French use Mirage 2000s or the British use the Eurofighter, but unfortunately this will most likely never happen. I think really only the Americans and Russians use frontline combat fighters. (which surprisingly aren't modified too much) Even the US teams used trainers for a period during the fuel crisis. Regardless of what team it is though, I think anyone with any remote interest in aviation or flight should go see an airshow that they are performing at. I've seen the Blue Angels and Thunderbird countless times and i'm still amazed by what they do, and last summer I saw the Red Arrows twice on their brief North American tour. All are amazing in their own way.
