Airbags in 1986 4runner?

I know the vast majority, if not all cars didn't have airbags in 1986, but I'm looking at pictures of the drivers steering wheel that lead me to believe otherwise.

Does anybody know if the 1986 4runner had airbags?

Agreed. At least it took me a while to find it haha. I typed in 1986 4runner on bags and it still came up with lifted trucks.
 
That's odd, I had a 94 runny with a drivers side airbag. Could've been because it was a limited with all the bells and whistles, but I'm positive it did because i set it off...Passenger was left out though haha. I would highly doubt if an 86 had them. Not the best vehicle if you're looking for crash safety
 
You prob have more experience then me then haha! I just know that they were added to drivers and passengers in 1995 for the 1996 model year, as I was talking about it with a friend not too long ago. They were really known as unsafe vehicles cuz apparently they rolled easily. I don't have any experience about it, that's just what he told me. Either way, they're sick whips. Was looking at getting a 2000 Toyota 4Runner, but ended up getting an 2000 Land Rover instead. Best decision ever (no disrespect to the yota, but I'm a landy guy forever now haha!)
 
i will run my 93 4runner to the ground. that bitch has taken me anywhere i point it, such a reliable rig. gonna outfit it with some sick wheelin shit, fun to work on and even more fun to wheel
 
haha it does prove a problem at times. I've been able to do most repairs myself, but a lot of the electrical work is another story.

either way, still saves me money 'stead of taking it to the shop
