Air purifiers

does anyone have one or know anything about these. i have asthma and bad allergies and stuff, and i heard that they're supposed to be good for that stuff.

 
yea its weird cause when u walk in there and by all the air purifiers it smells different and stuff, but i don't know if it actually helps

 
I just got a Sharper Image Quadra, and I noticed the smell too. However, reading through the paperwork, apparently what it does is release Ozone back into the air (O3). Some people are more sensative to the smell than others and you get used to it pretty quick and they really do work, its kinda freaky.

life is too short to have any regrets
 
that's not good that it releases ozone into the air. I was gonna get one cause they work well, but the 03 makes it not worth buying.

i had one in my room for a little bit...it worked really well for allergies and what not but then my parents took it back to thier room

i have an ored XL it's awsome. i can really tell the difference in the air because i have allergies. when you clean it there's tons of dust! so i guess it really helps

I'm in the market because of my allergies as well. Does the oreck do well with dander, dust, and all that?

also, how much $$ was it?
