Air compressor/Pressure Washer

Have any of you guys used them to make snow, if so how? Did it wok well, was it hard? Hos much did it make? What about just a pressure washer?

Food for thought. Gonna try this later tonight, even if I don't have an air compressor.

Wont work without compressed air, you will just make ice.

Depends on size of pressure washer and a/c.

Internal mix or external mix?

You should really just use google, there are a couple forums on snowmaking, try snowguns.com.

I've gone on a couple different cites, but just wondering about personal experiences. Saw a redneck way to do it, just ziptie the air comp. hose to the neck of the pressure washer.

Dont fuck around with that shit because if water gets back into your a/c it can cause rust in the tank which can cause structural integrity issues.

I personally used to make snow the last three years before I left for school. Had a triple nozzle sprayer, two for bulc(just water) and 1 for nuc(water and air mixed). I think theres a pic in my profile. That coupled with an electric power washer and my friends a/c meant i could make snow all night without stopping. I think the biggest whale I made was 18 inches in the middle and if it was cold enough I could make close to 6 inches an hour (we're talking 10 degrees or colder)

But seriously, do it right or you will just waste a bunch of your time

With access to an Air Comp. And a Gas Pressure Washer, what do you recomend I do. I have access to a lot of tools, etc. Looking at sites right now as well, but as both of them are fairly expensive, I don't want to fully convert them for just snowmaking capabilities.

You sound like quite the little engineer. And I'm hoping to go mess around and try some thins out, but this shit can be dangerous to fuck with dot dot dot

Not really that dangerous. Fall off your deck and knock yourself out and get buried in ice in your yard and you should be good.

You're an idiot. If you don't know what you're doing and you just fuck around with it, theres a decent chance you could hurt yourself/property. If air pressure out powers youre water pressure - you just filled your house's water line with compressed air. not good. If water out powers your air - you will rust out your compressor tank, ruining the compressor and creating a potential bomb.

Honestly you must not know what you are talking about, at all.

theres these things... they are called one way valves... as long as youre not a fucking moron, you can use a little common sense and a little money spent to prevent these potential risks.

common sense.

super simple stuff

no...this dude does

well judging by the fact that the kid said he doesn't have an air compressor but he's gonna try to make snow, I would assume he isn't gonna put the thought into adding 2 one way valves into his system.
