so i have latley taken a liking to listening to air america, in amongst my other more conservative radio when i drive to and from school or work latley. its great! today i was listening to the randy rhodes show, and she spent a few hours talking about how the 'republicans', ever nebulus, and ever elusive, had, in fact hacked the electronic voting macines to flip votes! can you believe it! what a conspiracy!

after i thought about how there were tons of other real things that she could be talking about going on in the world, something hit me. i thought to myself, 'this sounds like a lord_piot post on the air!' and do you know, the more i listened, the more similarities i heard.

so my conclusion is that either, a) piot gets all his info from the randy rhodes show, or b)(and more probably) lord_piot is actually behind the whole operation!

keep up the good work piot! im enjoying it very much!

not mirror images. its easy to say that if you dont listen to them. by the way, i like how rush has such a grasp on the mind/motives of every single liberal out there.

 
the difference that i wanted to point out, is that the conservative radio is talking about the situation in iraq, yasser arafat, impending judicial nominations, senator spechter, you know, things that are realevent, and that matter. air america is going with hours of hackneyed conspiracy theory more befiting our resident loon, lord piot than anyone else i could think of.

angry? hate so much? i dont know man, but one side has the majority on those sentiments right now, and it isnt the right. were happy as can be right now. its the left who is informing us that republicans are engaged in a taliban like theocracy, and that were idiots.

i havnt heard latley, but how many DNC regional headquarters have been vandalized and burned? because ive heard of at least a few republican buildings suffering such a fate.

Liberal editorialism and criticism tends to be rather dry, and sarcastic... the daily show is more or less a perfect example. Meanwhile, many, many conservative pundits get rather worked up, and begin to bellow accusations and reccomendations as if they were fiery evangelists preaching some radical doctrine unto... er, sorry. That analogy hit a bit close to the bone. In general, the far-left idea is not that conservatives are to be hated, so much as they are to be looked down upon with derision as backwards, intellectually inferior bible thumpers . I don't share that prejudice, but that's pretty much it. The anger comes far more often from the right.

give me a fucking break JD, the Daily show is on Comedy Central, its meant to be funny, they arent going to make a serious political talk show on Comedy Central, so please stop comparing liberal ideals to the daily show, if youve watched the tough crowd with colin quinn you would realize that most comedians have that dry sense of humor, and quinn is definitely conservative, and ive seen plenty of liberals and conservatives get angry and yell at each other like children, have you ever seen crossfire on CNN, its just a couple of liberals and conservatives screaming at each other for the entire show, i really dont think you can classify liberals as intellectuals who argue with a dry sense of humor and conservatives as raving idiots, there are a number of each type of people on both sides, and making a classification like that is just ignorant,so next time you watch the daily show and see all of your liberal ideas embodied in a show that is meant for entertainment, tune in to the tough crowd and see a conservative with a sense of humor much like john stewart's, amazingly they are both extremely similar in the way they make their points, and wait could it be they are both comedians, i think it could, and i also think your stereotyping of conservatives and liberals is based on such little real information, other than the fact that rush limbaugh yells, and john stewart has a sense of humor, suprisingly enough

Actually, Crossfire isn't necessarily quite so bad for that sort of thing... I mean, voices are raised from time to time, but rarely do Paul or Tucker lose their tempers. Even Novak manages to stay calm (though you can tell he wants to blow up once in a while). I've just seen way too many conservatives lose their tempers and start throwing fits over 'THOSE FUCKING LIBERAL PUSSIES', or however they want to characterize them (and even you have done it once in a while, line; you end half your political posts with 'So shut the fuck up, shithead' or something to that effect), whereas the comparable idiocy from the left is usually something like 'Conservatives are religious morons letting the church run their lives'... I hardly ever see anger from the idiots on the left, just... unwarranted elitism. I see it more often that not from the right. Just an observation... different ways of going about espousing extremist viewpoints in a useless manner.

Wow, this is a pointless argument. I wish people would look back and see how this started before launching into a big debate over it. It was a harmless comment on someone's perspective that Limbaugh had the liberal mindset pegged. Come on, people, simmer down.

^^Yeah, I know you were (I'd given you the benefit of the doubt, at any rate)... so was I, to some extent. It was a less than accusatory comment that was blown completely out of proportion by someone who rarely makes too much of things and turned into a debate which should now end.

yeah i use terms like shithead and shut the fuck up more when im telling idiots on this site they should shut the fuck up, usually when im arguing with people who arent morons i dont need to say that, but with such a high percentage of the people on NS being idiots, i need to end my arguments with those terms, but in a normal argument in person with someone who is intelligent and has basis for their beliefs, i can have a perfectly normal argument
