AI judging

Is it the future?

Honestly not sure if the AI judging at Ritsch's Roll is a joke or not. Tanner with 4.20 and 69.69.

That was the most I’d laughed at a YouTube video in awhile. Everyone should go check that out, worth the 50 minute watch

Laughed hard when Markus went huge and got 00.00

100% a joke, but wouldn't be surprised if we actually see it in the future.

Jason Arenas interview from the maryand podcast goes into depth a fair bit of the judging criteria. AI judging will never work because it’s an algorithm and people will just do the same run to optimise the algorithm. No personal flare or creativity.

I think winter is going to be defunct by the time AI becomes affordable enough to be used like this.

An AI is certainly capable of it, just wouldn't make sense to go about developing one to judge skiers rn.

Yeah as if human judges aren't susceptible to errors themselves. Lets just let a computer figure it out lol. Totally cooked idea.

Which is what pretty much all Olympic events are. No personal flair, just do the same set tricks to perfection to optimize score. For diving or aerials or something AI would likely actually do a pretty good job.

Wouldn’t be as crazy and expensive of thing to do. Hardest part would be just having enough professional ski content and, contest footy for the AI to train on.
