Anyone on here been sailing this summer?

I just got back from rippin around on the lake in my banshee.. so fun...
 
That was my brother. We have a sunfish sailboat at a lake called fourth lake, right by lake luzerne. Its so fun.
 
Not this summer, I will be on a Bulk Carrier this fall. I hope I get on this one:

we gotz a lido 14 classic. Its pretty ill but right now its sitting in the garage waiting to be fixed
 
I wish my parents hadn't sold our boat, but we moved away from the Chesapeake so it had to be done.

Sailing is great. I wish my life just consisted of sailing and surfing.
 
My uncle just got into new london, CT after 5 years of curcumnavigating the earth. he started in seattle, sold his house and car, and is finally done. hows that for sailing?
 
^same, my family and i sailed around the world, lived on a boat until i was 9, 46 foot dufour, real bad ass seasoned boat. Started in St. Thomas USVI, when i was super little. real good stuff. Sail lasers and scows recently
 
I sailed 420's and lasers all last summer competitively but i kinda go out of it cause the yacht club people were assholes so i havent been back at it since but i wouldnt mind doing it just for fun again

 
I'm living in Thessaloniki, Greece for the summer earning my international skippers license as we speak! there is nothing better than sailing on the Aegean with friends. Thanks for loving me enough to finance this giant liability, mom and dad!
 
not to sound like a stalker, but where are you on fourth lake?! i have a summer house right by rocky point, im going up this monday. thats so weird
 
sailboats are fuckin' lame. sure it's kinda neat to use natural forces to get around, they're pretty tech to run, lot's of lines and shit. But a motor boat or yacht is just way better. Whenever I see someone with a sailboat on the lake I always make sure to drive by close and give em' a nice wake. 
 
wow you're a fucking immuture peice of shit. you dont do that kind of stuff, their trying to enjoy the day as much as you are then you give them a wake to be a dick. its clearly not funny. im into power and performance boats seeing how my family owns 3 (claim) and i dont do that kind of shit. thats such a dick thing to do, you obveusly dont have you're boaters license or you just wanna be a fucking asshole. im pretty sure you wouldent want to be given a wake when you're sailing and tiping and shit. knock the shit its not cool. btw a yacht is a motor boat dumb fuck. its people like you that ruin it for everyone
 
I like sailboats much better then motorboats cus your not using any gas or anything, and you are basically harnessing the powers of nature for power.
 
There are pretty big differences.

The Edmund Fitzgerald is a forward wheelhouse lake without a self unloading gear. The Naticoke is Owned by CSL, its a ocean capable vessel with an aft wheelhouse and its a self unloading bulk carrier. If you are interested, check out this site:

I don't have a boaters license, you don't need one; also, yes I do it just to be an asshole. It's people like me who ruin it for sailboaters and fisherman who go onto the only half of the lake where you can wakeboard, making it more dangerous. Yachts have motors? who knew!
 
Just a couple of times so far this summer. Dad and I have a kayak rigged up with a sail, and a 16 ft gunning dory (Nova Scotia represent). Hopefully I'll get out with some of my friends who have bigger or faster boats this summer.
 
that's exactly right, it's simply unsafe for excess boat traffic on a restricted area. When you're supposed to ski counter clockwise around the lake and the water is littlered with fishermen and sailboats cutting across it creates a more dangerous situation for everyone. Anyway, sailboats still suck, have fun when the wind dies down bitches.
 
Me and mtbakerteacher (Brian) took a sailing camp one time, and from that point on we became pirates.
