That would mean Amet is a better at skiing and wearing bigger clothes when riding than you and thats just not possible. Josh, you are the bar.
 
I haven't seen anything that puts Tom in the same category as Will or Ahmet on handrails. Not saying Tom is anything short of incredible at handrails, but Will and Ahmet are on a totally different level

his whole urban game is perfect. his lips are never higher than 3 inches, he has a flawless style and his level of technicallity is up there with Ahmet's. I mean...lip switch-up on down-flat-curve-down with absolutely no kicker. amazing.

but still props to ahmet, switch in blindside switch-up blew my mind. and 270 on the down-flat-down rail was also amazing.
 
what are you kidding me? Contests are sick, but if you can put together a sick urban segment thats 10 times better. PROPS to Ahmet! Fuck the US open Ahmet has proven himself. (the usopen is still sick).
 
wesson is beast. never witnessed a backyard setup slayed in that way before... 1 foot stall to 2sev on 2 out and right lip front up pretz 4 out on our pvc down flat
 
Ahmet is hands down one of the most motivated hard working kids. He won't stop til he get what he wants.... he's 2pac!! MAD RESPECT!!
 
to advance to the pro level and get 'paid' etc, you need to win big comps, this will lead to career longevity. filming is sick yes, but i dont see film companies dishing out 100,000.00 a year in salary to an athlete.

I also do not see a ski company paying this type of dough to a rider with out the resume.
 
not too many people mention wesson though, who i think is advancing the sport more than ahmet just by a little bit, he slays
 
the video is the resume. the urban arena is totally different than superpipe events or slopestyle. there's really no way to compete with urban besides film and one up the last guy. that's the same as andy, pep, and pollard trashing the back country and getting paid. besides pep, none of those guys have any super solid event finishes. film companies aren't going to pay big loot, but sponsors will.

Ahmet > Raymond this year... i was kinda depressed after all franks hype last year i thought his seg. this year was going to be ballin.. it was alright but man after you watch ahmet its like oh snaaaaaap
 
i disagree, comps are putting it down when its needed giving a more realistic view as to one's ability.... videos are single tricks that people spend hours to stick once..... in my opinion comps are closer to "real skiing" because it's essentially just taking a lap through the park
 
dude sooo many skiers make big bucks that dont have shit for a "resume" which btw sounds weird in the same sentence as skiing. I think the only thing comps are good for is blowing up. Rainville for example. I feel like after he got 3rd at the us open he was like fuck it, I'm established, now I can do what really matters, change skiing from a sport to an art... and I cant quote twice but to

whoever said skiing is more about the comps then the seggys, I too, disagree. when u talk about a skier being innovative, its almost always because of movie segments. we dont think peps the man because he did well in the us open and xgames a few years back, it usually because his 1242 segment. same with vanular. I'm not saying skiers ARENT respected for their comps, I'm just saying that usually they are more for their segments.

as much as i want to agree with everyone else... your kind of right. that banger in your video part might of taken 112 tries while your comp run is livee
