dude sooo many skiers make big bucks that dont have shit for a "resume" which btw sounds weird in the same sentence as skiing. I think the only thing comps are good for is blowing up. Rainville for example. I feel like after he got 3rd at the us open he was like fuck it, I'm established, now I can do what really matters, change skiing from a sport to an art... and I cant quote twice but to
whoever said skiing is more about the comps then the seggys, I too, disagree. when u talk about a skier being innovative, its almost always because of movie segments. we dont think peps the man because he did well in the us open and xgames a few years back, it usually because his 1242 segment. same with vanular. I'm not saying skiers ARENT respected for their comps, I'm just saying that usually they are more for their segments.
