Ahhhh...outward bound

I leave for my outward Bound course in a week. 16 days living on a single-deck 30ft. sailboat. shiiiiitttttt....I'm amped, but at the same time scared as shit. someone whos been on an OB course before, tell me something about it. or if you haven't been.... well I donno but be cool to me. I feel like I'm gonna die on this course.

NS HELP ME! I've never been as anxious or nervous to do something in my life. dont get me wrong, I am excited to go...I know it'll be a good time. but its all I can think about now (which is a nice change from always thinking about skiing) ..shit!! I've never been away from everything for 16 days. no bathrooms, showers, electronics...I dont even know if I can bring a book. AH!

youll be just fine.

i did outward bound in canada for 18 days, and i damn i wish it didnt end. mine was for climbing and it was way rad. the people were really cool (including the 2 adults, they were way cool. one climbed k2 and everest and was waaay cool, and the other was going to climb annapurna, she was rad.). we got into some iffy situations but thats part of the fun. learned a bunch. get to use that knowledge now. we did a ton everyday. way fun.

there's different programs you can take...some of them are for 'troubled youth'. the course I will be on, is not.

ya i had a friend who went to outward bound, he said that it was against the rules to talk to other kids out of earshot of an adult. now that would just fuck with my head.

my friend went and loved it you'll be fine ive been on 2 outward bound trips myself (school mandatory) winter camping in minus 45 and canoeing its always fun. just get into it and youll love it.

you can only take away as much as you give...
