i have a sector 9 sand wedge and am looking for some bigger and really grippy wheels. any suggestions? and dont tell me how much sector 9 sucks i dont give a shit. i really like my longboard. thanks.
i have a sector 9 also, and everybody that hates on them....i don't care either. it works for me and i enjoy it so who cares. ANYWAY i have a friend who's super into long boarding and he always gets those Gumball wheels, the 76 mm ones i think they are. Big lime green things, I can't remember who makes them. I guess ABEC 11 makes them...here ya go...
i know. i love my sector nine. its perfect for cruising around town and pumping around. i think some people dont like them for crazy bombing downhilling.
inless you have cutouts or serious deep convace with partial wheel wells then i would stay under 72mm. If you get your board too high then it gets too hard to pump since your leg is too far bent and just a little bit of difference makes your leg sore after a while. Also a lower center of gravity is better for carving and high is pretty much good for nothing. here is a really good site that I always go to for help, it is like the NS of longboarding and it will have something to help you, it has a ton of reviews on wheels and a million threads on wheels.
Wheels with a higher density (duro) are good for slides because they break the friction barrier easier then softer wheels and their extra density makes them last longer (lots of wear and tear sliding as you can imagine).
What kind of board do you have? And what kind of wheels are already on it?
thanks, I have a Landyachtz conthug with these blue wheels, 76mm and 75 something. I don't know, i won them and threw them on right away. There sweet though, naked chicks
