what kind of skates are good for starting out.

I can already rollerblade fairly well, but i want to start trying rails and stuff.

what should i get? and where in the toronto area can i buy some?

I just brought out my blades, and me n Ryan (urbanskier) went to a skate park in orleans and it was all skaters there, and we debated wheather or not to get out, but we did and we sucked so when we were leaving, i was pulling up to his car and i went to stop like ice skates, but that doesn't work too well and i flew in the air and landed flat on my ass, and tons of people were watching, so i yelled 'anyone want rollerblades' and i threw them away. so I don't blade anymore

i have a pair i took from my brother i havent been agressive skating, how hard is it to spin and such.. i would think landing would be hard as well

go with razors or usd. all the part are changeable unlike the salomon and roces. for example, the soul plate is a one piece with the boot on the salomon and roces. if you break your soul plate, you can't get it replaced. you have to buy the whole skate again.

for razors or usd, if the soul plate gets broken, no fear, just unscrew, take out the broken shit and replace it with a new one.

i personally ride on razors jon ellliott pro 2001 model and yeah, it's sick~!

all salomon skates are UFS, and have all replaceable parts. and this isnt new, it's been around for like 2 years.

but roces sucks, $80 for ONE new frame/sole. not with bolts or anything, you need your own hardware.

and USD are supposed to fall apart super fast, and they cost the most.

Salomon and Razors are the best.

And the newer RB TRS skates are all good.

Go to Boardtopia in Milton and check out the new rollerblade skates. They're REALLY badass.

they look like shoes... super cool and have the biggest soul plate I've ever seen.

Rollerblade really stepped it up this year.

UFS only means that the boot and frame that supports UFS can be interchangeable, like between the salomon crossmax and salomon sti-pro model and some.

That's it.

And, to tell you the truth, salomon sucks in the aggro skate market. they may be good in the fitness line but when it comes to aggro, only USD and Razors are truly the winners.

Freestyla, don't take this seriously as i am not flaming you. i respect your comment and wrote how i feel about aggressive inline, but to start the reply with 'skiordie, do u know anything about skating' was pretty low.

As u and i've been members here for some time now, i do not want to start any flaming things.

but yeah, ive heard a lot of good shit about USD, except that they have been known to fall apart really fast, and the replacement parts are expensive.

the best skates out right now are supposed to be the TRS, theyre fairly cheap, and everything can be replaced, and its cheap for any part of the skate.

i have the salomon aaron feinburg pros, and i love them. my friend has the new ST-10s and loves them, except he's only had them 3 weeks, and already needs a new sole for his skates, which is $80.

i got some wings, made by 50-50, which go over top of your sole plate to make it last longer, so intsead of buying new soles, you buy new wings. such a good idea.

anywhoooooo. go buy some aggro skates. any aggro skates. we need more booters.

how are the new salomon skate's soul plate? they have that 'ivory' plate so that if it is used up or broken, you can just change that plate.

heard that those 'ivory' plates got cracked easily. have they been improved?
