hey guys i am from australia and am coming to whister for 3 weeks over christmas and new years but i can't find anywhere cheap to stay cause they all have a clause of 25 years or older....i'm only 20 so they won't let me stay. anyone know a way around this or know of a place to crash?

Find some cardboard boxes, a couple garbage bags (those big, black or orange ones) and some nice pillows, maybe a blanket, and a lock for the skis.

Budget.

I thought there was a hostel you can stay in at Whistler....never been to it myself but I thought I heard people talking about that before.

my brother went there when he was only 20. he went there with another one of his friends. even though they have those clauses call up different hotels and see if you can get a place. Im guessing u will find somewhere that will just give u a room.

Fireside Lodge (it's a hostel)

604-932-4545

nicest hostel in the world. probably be $21 a night when you are there

$80 a night for a big private room

^^^ That place looks legit... Is it members only or open to the public? Pretty crowded in winter time? might have to check it out this winter.

the UBC lodge is 200 feet up the road from the fireside, not as nice I hear (never been to the Fireside), open to the public.

hey guys just found the UBC lodge today and it looks alright for what i want......just a place to crash! alot cheaper than staying at one of the few places that allow under 25 year olds thats for sure!

if you could get a job over christmas you could probably get a place in staff housing, i suggest you do that now though

hahahah that was deffinitely a pretty red bull idea but really, buy a 1000 dollar beater chevy van and then live in it :YAY!:

There is also a somewhat lesser known hostel - HI (hosteling international) that is on Alta lake. It's not right in town but my might have luck there. P.S. Everyone wants to go to Whistler for New Years. The UBC hostel does the trick for what it is - It is 20$ for students (I think that applies to all students) and 30$ for non students. The beds are in rooms with 4 beds to a room and a curtain for the door. There's a huge kitchen and living room/game room and a hot tub. The beds are covered with plastic protectors.. but if you're drunk enough you don't notice.

might as well just come to the island and hit up mt w lol we got night ridin in the big park now folks
