At my school in the past 2 days there is this grade 9 girl who is sitting where she shouldn't be. this is a spot strictly for grade 11s and 12s, it is marked very well (its carpet and at a different level then the floor of the halls) Everyone at the school knows the rule, only grades 11 and 12. There is another spot for grd 10. grd 9s dont get one. but today some lonely, gutless grade 9 ventured into the "Deep end" (its the name of our spot) and decided to stay. I know her, she is an attention seeker and gives me dirty looks ever since grd 2. we asked her to leave, and we told her the rule that the students of the school abides by. the teachers know and all, its legit. So after 30 mins of heckling she wouldn't leave and a big crowd has appeared (300+ ppl. its a big deal if a grd 9 even walks through it.) numerous teachers the VPs and the principal are all there.
This year we got a new principal who does not understand the tradition here. so she made a nice long announcement comparing the "incident" today to rosa parks in 1955.
What is this, its our spot, they can not come in. its also ironic that the principal calls our school a "Town" because we are bigger then one, bla bla bla. but in a town every citizen gets to vote, In our school the "mayor" is a dictator??

Sparknotes: Grd 9 comes into the grd 11/12 spot and wont move wants to sit new principal thinks we are discriminating, but its just our spot.

What do you guys think? Are we being "age racist" or is a spot a spot and thats that?
 
is your princibal a fucking retard. In all high schools seniors have that type of authority over freshmen (ie. at my school only seniors can sit outside during lunch). I dont how this could relate to Rosa parks, thats racism, this is a seniority rules issue

The only privilege we got as upperclassmen was to leave the school during lunch hour to go out to eat.
 
in mine there is like more of a respect thing i guess with it. like at work do you get to eat lunch with the boss if you're a janitor? most likely no unless you're the head of a janitorial staff are you are the boss

No we didn't have any of this shit. I'm guessing that this kid is talking about a certain area in the cafeteria, because I don't know where else there is a large seating area in a school besides the auditorium. Everyone just sat where ever the hell they wanted, if someone sat at the "usual" table, you just went to a different one.
 
The lack of action and then the bitching is also pretty retarded. Fucking move her out of the spot, burn down her house, throw rocks at her, cyber bully her, do something, or quit your bitching

Seniors get to leave early, come in late, park, and are exempt from finals in any class they have an A average in. Otherwise, they're the same as any other students (In theory, seniors and juniors actually get away with a lot more if they have a mutually respectful relationship with the teachers). This is during the school day of course. On sports teams, theres a fair amount of hazing. It's definitely way down from when I was a freshman though, and I wouldn't be surprised if its gone within 3 - 4 years.
 
sry boys, it was more of a school gathering here and looking at the dumb ass 9er. then the principal showed up cuz there was a lot of people and like 3 people who ACTUALLY cared that there was a 9er in the deep end. if you think we all were bitchin, naw it wasn't like that. it was more the principal. she is new and is a female who wants to exert her authority, this is her 1st actual incident so she wants to take charge and show everyone that. but she fucked up, relating rosa parks and her racism deal in 1955 to the bitch ass girl who doesn't know her place at the school, it was blown out of proportion and all the new kids wanted to see what was going on, but it wasnt thAt much.

there was a girl doin a rubics cube blindfolded in like 1 min and she was doing it normally in 10 seconds, so everyone was watching that, then the 9er showed up and we all switched over to why she was there, with a group of 100+ it all blew up from there.

In other words, nobody cares. High school might seem like the most important thing in your entire life right now, but it isn't. It is stupid, petty, and ridiculous.

So is college.

Grad school starts getting legit, but not really.
