I like how for all the 16-18 year olds, we all have a good amount, nad then once we get into the real world it all goes down the shitter. im 17 and around 1200

Just spent around 250 4th of July weekend, 600 to rent, 120 to

cell phone, 113 to electric company and 230 to oil company.

Shit goes out waaaay faster than it comes in.
 
its funny how all the kids who arent in college have the most money in their accounts...all kids in college or out of college seem to have little to no money...so moral of my post...enjoy the money while you have it kids once you hit college or move out of your parents umbrella you will have NONE!
 
My question is why all of you have over $1000 in your checking. It's called a savings account. You get interest on it. You can pull out of most savings accounts 4 times a month for free. I always try to keep my checking as close to 1000 as possible and put everything else in savings. Then only pull from savings when absolutely needed. There isn't really anything in my life that costs over $1000... Rent is the biggest at $600 a month.

i think someone with those kind of funds would be smart enough to keep that money somewhere where you could be earning some interest.
according to capital one's banking website, accounts over 100k earn roughly 1% of interest, you could live VERY well off the interest alone that this account earns. NUTS!

20 and it varies- at this exact moment 1250 in checking- and about 4500 in savings- savings goes steady at 200 a week- the rest of my paycheck goes into checking

checking account fluctuates based on car shit- but im trying to keep it built up before going back to school
