Afterbangs vs. AR7

Hey, I have narrowed my list down to 2 sets either the Line Afterbangs or Armada AR7. They both look like really good park skis and just want to hear your guys' opinion on which ski u think is better to get I am about 6'2 and 200 pounds and will probably be doing 80% of skiing in the park

It depends on what type of park skiing you are doing, mostly rails or mostly jumps, but I would only get the Abang if you are doing only rails or if you are looking for something cheaper. The AR7 would be great for the entire park and that other 20% of skiing you do. Go with the AR7 unless price is an issue and in the park you only hit rails.

At your weight ar7 would be much better suited to you and besides they are lighter, fast, more durable and just better

If you're 6'2'' 200 pounds you're going to snap just about any 170 like a toothpick. Get 181's or whatever the largest size they offer is.

alright thanks ya so I'll look around and see what I can find I think I might go with the afterbangs mostly because I don't have a lot of money now

I'd be wary about getting a newer model with a cheaper price - if you're looking for a less expensive ski try to find a few years old, more durable one. Ski companies typically make no adjustments or minor adjustments to their skis over a 3-4 year period besides graffics, so an older model will ski essentially the same as a newer one. Based on your height/weight I'd imagine you'll destroy an afterbang real fast because of how soft they are. Look for a ski in the 178-185 range that is considered to be reasonably stiff (it will likely feel mildly soft to you). A small ski (170) or a really soft ski (afterbang) probably won't do well in holding up the abuse you'll put on them. If you can find an older model Volkl Wall, Armada AR7, Fischer Addict Pro, or Rossi S4 for cheap in your size you'll be much better off.
