So heres whats up. I am new to the park and stuff and I really wanna get some good park skis.. I already have some all mountain skis.. I really was considering getting the afterbangs because i have heard some great reviews, but on here i have heard horrible reviews. So what skis would be best for a beginner (in the park)? I wanna do everything, rails, boxes, jumps, tricks on jumps. I just need to get some skis good for all of that. I don't really have a target price.. just not ridiculously expensiveThanks!

line mastermind, or the line shadow shadow

theres a bunch of reasons people hate on a bangs; they can:

-delamanate

-be heavy

-get water logged

-slow base

and line advertises them as "bombproof" but there not and thats the reason for the amount of hate

there not terrible, but people hate because line kinda acts like there farr more durable then they really are

any boots will work with any skis!!

get what fits! (but yea, a bangs are pretty heavy, gst somthing light (cap consruction)

yah cuz I just have my Roxy shazams, and i don't really like 1) the girly shit, and also i do not like going in the park with them

Like said above, the masterminds are pretty durable, soft but stiff enough for beginner jumps, and easy to maneuver on rails as well as in the air.

go with 2012's i just started park this year i had the 177 bangs im 5'10 i found them to be to long and to heavy so i sold tehm and got 2012's and there by far my fav ski ive ever had for everything and have been petty durable so far this year ive used them probs 40 times 95% park 5% pow

I've ridden afterbangs for 2 years now, and I love mine. They are super playful, and shred everything in the park, especially rails. Mine held up fine on 50 foot jumps, but if you want to do mostly jumps I would suggest a stiffer ski.

Everything he said about the a-bangs is true. Anyone who thinks they are a good ski is just mad they got suckered into buying them.

thats just what he has heard from here on ns. he has never ridden them himself. never suggest a ski, equipment you have never ridden or had personal experience with before

i just got a pair of bangs, havent got to use them but i'm kinda excited to see if they are as bad as people say they are. everyone on ns bash on them but i've seen tons of kids in the park with them

doesnt hurt right lol. People on here bash them but i know this kid who has them and hes sponsored by LINE so he just got next years with the green topsheet but his bangs are still good which is why i got them. This kid skis every weekend and during the weekdays cause he lives by hunter. I only met him once briefly but his videos don't lie. Heres a link
