Hello!

I have a big problem! I have the line afterbang, i was always very

happy its a sick ski and i really like them... the topsheed ripped out

a little bit, but that does not matter. But... a few weeks ago i was on

my home mountain and i recogniced that there is something wrong with

the edge at the tail of one ski... i saw, that the edge ripped out and

also a piece of the base. So i decided to contact the dealer where i

bought the ski. He said, that this is my fault and that i probably

crash very bad or something and that line probaly wont replace them, he

could sent them back but that would last at least 4-5 weeks. I really

wanted to ski so i decided to fix the problem i cut the piece of the

edge... and so i continued to ski them. ...today i was skiing and i did

not something special with my skis and when i was at home i saw, that i

had the same problem on the other ski..... this time im sure, that i

did not crash or something.....

btw... sorry for my bad english ;)

damn that sucks. my friend just sent in a pair of dellammed afterbangs, and it sounds like they will replace them. if u didn't like the ski, buy some new ski and sell the new pair of abangs they send you.

Big_Spence had the same problem with his octoland anthems and line didnt do anything about it. that shitty tho.

^^that sucks, because if i send them back i haveno other skis and the dealer said, that it takes 4-5 weeks till i could get the new one... and if then line wont replace them.....

if you do this maybe talk to the dealer and they might be able to give you some used skis to use in the meanwhile or a pair of your friends

But ABangs won't have any problems like Anthems and Invaders did!

remember that windows commercial with all the different old models?

That really stinks... anyway it depends where you bought the abangs from. Like evo normaly has warranty on their skis. I hope you get a new pair for your sake.

It doesn't look like an impact damage so line should probably warranty it. If you have no back up skis you can buy new skis now and sell the skis you receive from warranty.

i feel like the second guy who posted pics was an alias to the first guy, they looked vert similar, idk its just kinda weird but that really really sucks anyway. I got my afterbangs and nothing have delamed, ripped out, or chipped, *knock on wood*

nooo guys im being serious, i dont know this guy, this seriously justtt happened to me and i can guarentee we arent the same person. i have emailed line but idk where thats gonna get me. i might go back to the dealer soon.

Line actually wanted that to happen. the whole point of the Afterbang was that it was supposed to be like a skateboard.

thats really looks the same, so i hope that line will replace them.... and i am definately no the same person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they warrantied my Chrnoics that I snapped in half from a bomb hole after a box, they WILL warranty these. I am 100% positive they will warranty these.

Ohh and FYI Line is completly out of the 177 Afterbang so they will probably just credit the whole sale price of the ski to your shop and they will let you get anything the shop has. thats what they did with my Afterbangs when they delammed in December, and I got chronics and got those warrantied too.

Unless you wait til summer to send them in then you might get next years...

Unfortunately, these happened to my anthems too. Apparently, its not just in the afterbangs... :/ This happened today. ~40 days on these skis. They weren't delam'd or any problems as of this morning, all this happened in 1 day.

lol at your pouty face.

but that really sucks. this same thing happened to me on my anthems.

yours looks worse though. like your whole tip or tail (i can't tell which one it is) profile is completely gone.

Ya it's on my tip. I'll update on Lines response, I pm'd them. Either way, this should never happen to a ski and it's not just the Abangs having problems

i'll be honest, chances are you're fucked.

they're first going to tell you to get in contact with the shop you bought it from. then you will either take it in to them if it's a local shop or ship it to them if it's online. then they're going to ship the skis of to Line. Line will then look at your skis and say "oh my god! there appears to be rail damage on this ski that is made specifically park and rail features and we advertise to be a great, dependable park ski! we can't warranty this now! it is clearly not our fault." then they'll finally ship your skis back to you if you're willing to foot the bill.

so basically you will just pay the $40 to ship your skis to someone who won't do anything about your problem. If I were you i'd just cut the edge where it starts to bend, tape it up with duct tape, and start saving for some new skis for next year. at least those will be ridable for the next couple of months.

btw this process will take a BARE MINIMUM of four weeks. and if it's your only ski, do you really want to go four weeks without a ski?

Thanks for all the confidence in our warrentee system :). Like everything in the world there is a system and problems are dealt on in a case by case basis so all the comments and pointers you all are giving are helpful however just speculation on a specific instance. Sorry for sounding like a lawyer but dats da fact yo! Any issues are dealt with by following the procedure. go here for answers and jedi guidance, we got your back and thanks for riding LINE: http://lineskis.com/support

even though my previous comment sounds like hate, it's really not. no company warranties skis that have rail damage. period. i've learned that the hard way. every company in the ski industry today has (more or less) the same exact policy.

you're going to have to go through that same process with line, salomon, k2, armada, surface, ect. and chances are you're going to end up with the same results.

That must have been godawfull... i have the old spk skis and they have MEGA delamed on the two tails. good thing they have rivets though. the suspects are pretty much disposable if you decide to hit any kind of rail

not true at all.

volkl has replaced every pair of walls that i have sent them. that is 5 pairs. not even lying. some companies stand behind their product for the consumer, some dont (salomon), i will buy volkls when they stop sending me new ones on warranty, because they are a company that believes in what they put out and is willing to stand behind it.

what kind of damage did you skis have?

where did you buy your skis?

how long did you have the skis before they broke?

all of these are very important.

Quality and performance set aside, Line is real good about warranties that actually make sense. I own no line skis now.

I still have hope for 195 Motherships being good.
