After Dark - thoughts?

God damn. Could not have said it better myself. In eye trip, i put most of the songs onto my ipod because most of them were great to ski to, this year i think i might have put 2 songs on there
 
P-White killed e in post creds, mainly agree with OP, but personally i fill my ipod with pbp songs, everyday is a saturday got me into freeskiing
 
I loved the sound track. I feel it gave the movie a more genuine feel as opposed to other  movies that where put out this year. I also found that the music matched the editing perfectly and was consistent throughout the whole movie as a posed to the grand bizarre, where it went from a supper style and more park oriented segment with Mr. Powis (sp?) to a big mountain hard charging segment with Mr. Lebeo (again sp?). THIS IS ALL IN MY OPINION (sorry fir bad spelling im on my iphone)
 
this. it wasnt dubstep or rap, lol it was almost mystical, i found it took some getting used to,the first time i watched it...not a fan, but then as i watched it more and more i began to like it more and more (again personal opinion)
 
go watch the movie again please...and maybe ski/fil/edit a couple more times. Also listen to the commentary. you may learn a thing or 2 about the work the put into that movie
not the best. but jesus man, not bad in any way shape or form.
 
No it was a pos by Level 1 standards. I mean I thought PBP soundtrack was bad, but man level 1 just fucking blew it so hard, I hated every single song in that entire movie, which consequentially made me dislike the entire movie.

Level1 makes some of the ski movies year after year, and this one def did not meet my expectations unlike all of their other films.
 
IMO,

1- Attack of la Nina

2- After Dark

3- The grand bizarre ---> this movie was a totale fail, nothing really happends, nobody talks, we can't feel the passion for skiing..
 
I really liked it, but some of the music was pretty shitty ( that Friends-shit was by far the worst).

To be honest I thinkt the worst skimovie this year was Atack of La Nina (impossible to spell). It was so boring I almost stoped watching it the first time. Havn´t seen it since.
 
song is so gay !!!! Only song i enjoyed on it was from yea sayer (line teams segment).I ound the movie just weird aswell.prefered weight and tgb much more
 
I'm just gonna hijack this thread for a while, since my question isn't worth a new thread. Which movie should I buy? I have weight and TGB. I'm considering after dark or prime cut.. movies that isn't mentioned in this thread is welcome.
 
There were some ups and downs with the soundtrack...I know its hard NS but u can like some songs and not others...u don't have to decide wether u like the songs as a whole
 
i really liked it! the skiing was great, but the soundtrack is very unique. i personally liked most of the music on it.
 
it was fuckin thug dude. music was fresh as fuck. hornbecks shit, wileys shit, pwhite, and the fucking canadains. kids that dont recognize dont know skiing.
 
What was the 2nd to last song on the bfilm edit soundtrack in the extras? Not the song that played during the credits, the one before that, I can't find it and they didn't have credits for music
 
all of last years movies from the big companies were legit, after dark was my least favorite though, everyone still killed it.
 
The more I watch it the better it is. Amazing editing, skiing is crazy (p white arguably favourite segment ever) and the soundtrack grows on you in time.
 
This. Buy IMO hornbecks was my favorite segment, I love that song and thought it went great with his skiing. I also liked every song in the movie except for the friends song
 
Ya there were some banger segments that were overlooked for some reason. I dont know why so many people didnt like it.
 
What I like to do is compare segments from past years like T-Walls eye trip seg and after dark seg or ahmet eye trip seg and after dark seg. IMO both Ahmet's and Wallie's segments were sooooo much better the previous year.
 
this +rainville's shit. best pov lines i think i've ever seen.

editing was pure, music was exceptionally but i personally wasn't a fan of ahmets song
 
Does anyone know where I can get a Orage hoodie like the ones Ian Compton and Will Wesson were wearing in their segments?
 
How so? TGB was definetely my favourite movie this year, the stept segment, leigh powis, and lj strenio were all so good.
