After Dark thoughts?

HOly partied out. That was the best premiere ever. ears are still ringing and head is still pounding from the afterparty. whew.

After watching After Dark again, it was even better the second time. Love Bellamere's stuff.

Best Level1 movie since LSS. I am a sucker for themed intros to segments. Loved it. I felt like I was watching a teaser the whole time, soo frantic and banger constantly.
 
Yeah, I sorta feel you on the whole theme/intro to segs thing. It just sort of made the movie gel and a little bit more fun. Good to see some of those guys not taking themselves, or skiing, too seriously. Shiiiit....who doesn't have those ski days that feel like a dream come true? Shiiiiiit....who doesn't dream about skiing?

Gotta raise the brows at the "best since lss" comment though....
 
There was a bunch of sick stuff, but it was hard to be stoked on it after watching the 4bi9 movie. Begging for change was ridiculous!
 
yeah I mighta dropped the best since LSS comment early, I will need to get the DVD and study it before i can say that. It has a chance though
 
I feel ya, I am looking forward to watching it not drunk, and not with a thousand people so I can pick up on the stuff I missed.
 
I think you're on to something. Unfortunately, I think my mood tanked a bit with the music and the fact that the raffle just sort of dragged and the flick started pretty late.

 
Speaking of raffles. I bought 40 ticks split em with my friend and we won 3 times (my friend won skis)

The movie was sick. I haven't seen any other flicks this year (weight is on my couch waiting to be watched) so I can't compare it to anything else but it sets a pretty high standard for films this year. There were definitely some really random pieces to it where I was wondering what was going on, but it was sick none of the less.
 
I thought it was absolutely amazing regardless of the reviews of the world premiere. Only downside was that I was standing was the worst for product tosses.
 
I booed from the balcony when it was dead quiet. Several people turned around and looked and I felt like a scumbag. Oh well.

I mean...I NEED a pow setup. Those skis would've literally changed my season. She couldn't turn those things if her life depended on it. But hey....pretty sure no raffle was ever won on merit, and I'm also sure that cheap fucks who don't buy tickets can't win. But c'mon...I wasn't fighting through that crowd and losing my spot to buy some.

Sooooo waaaaaaah is what I'm trying to say.
 
D: Sweet Jesus that is truly the shittiest thing I've heard about in awhile... I hate when people win shit that I'd give almost anything to have, yet they will never use it one time...
 
Let me start this off by saying that I am a huge Level 1 fan and own every one of their movies since strike 3 came out.

Saw the movie last night at IF3. I have to say that it was a bit of a let down - and I think for me it wasn't because the skiing wasn't awesome, because it was, but I really couldn't get into the movie because of the soundtrack.

Could be because I had had a few beverages, but it seemed like people in the theater weren't as stoked as they were for Refresh. There weren't as many cheers either.

Anyways, still love you Level 1 but just not your best work IMO.
 
I thought Afterdark was good, equal or better than eye trip.

Where could I find the soundtrack to it?
 
Stoked to see a pretty long segment for Will Wesson.

Wish there was more Downey.

The segments being mixed was kind of confusing/weird.

Loved the soundtrack, very mellow and chill.
